Originally named ‘Blenheim House’, this majestic New Farm home was originally constructed circa 1887. She’s a special part of Brisbane’s history and encompasses everything I love about a home; history, character and mood. Below, we show you round one of a two-part renovation that was in fact carried out way back in 2019. Round one called for relatively moderate changes to make the more enjoyable for this growing family of 5. Next year, this beautiful home will be altered by a much more significant renovation in accordance with local Heritage requirements but for now, enjoy An ..read more

About 6 years ago my sister and family moved into a quirky mid century style home on the Gold Coast. It got a complete internal renovation but the bedrooms were left very, very naked (boring) so at the beginning of this year they got a full overhaul and what a transformation.

A project close to us (literal and metaphorical), my parents purchased an original 80s brick home that made for a satisfying yet accessible transformation. With Hacienda vibes, lush beautiful acreage and streams of natural light through in-built skylights we drew inspiration from the original stained glass windows to create a timeless aesthetic that feels like a true representation of their 60+ years of life.

1. Sunday Supply Co Beach Chair – $149
Don’t be the person who doesn’t bring a chair to the beach and sits in everyone else’s chair. Buy the chair. Keep it in your boot. Always be the person with the chair. Also, it’s cute.
2. The Gardenista Garden Hose – $85
OK this may seem like a funny gift but if I received this I’d be thrilled. Is this not the most beautiful garden hose? I’d be happy to see this casually hanging from the side of my house. It’s a far cry from the green rubber currently sitting there now.
