i'm 5'2 16F currently somewhere around ~96 lbs. right now i weigh 105 because of insane water weight so technically i'm considered 'normal'. i'm wondering if my maintenence is lower or higher than what i assumed it is. i try to eat around 1220 calories a day but i just feel restricted like i can't eat much. for my activity level, i only do 7k-10k steps a day and, like, a 1-minute plank 3 times a day. otherwise i don't exercise; i'm in school most of the time so i'm basically sitting all day. any advice? is 1220 good or is it too low? submitted by /u/pgkitten [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

So ive fallen off the last week or so, but for about 2 months i was consistently hitting what i thought was a surplus. Im 100lb 26y/o female and im 5’4. I have a really active job (lots of walking, some lifting and rarely breaks @12hr shifts) I used a tdee calclulator that suggested 2300 calories but i upped it to 2700, i was hitting 2500 or more but i saw no changes at all. Im going to try increasing again to 2700 and see if i make any progress. Ive also been hitting the gym for about 3 months just doing weightlifting no cardio since my job is enough lol. Should 2700 be enough for my activit ..read more

Need help with my bulking issue

Hi guys. So I have a fast mentabolism meaning I have ate like an animal for the last few months to gain weight. In around the last month to month and a half, I gained around 10 pounds. Turns out, after being sick for 3 days and not eating as much, I basically lost all 10 pounds. So I am wondering now, is it that my peak weight was overestimated, did I just lose water weight or does my body just suck when it comes to bulking. And does anyone know how long it will take to regain this weight? Thanks submitted by /u/ProfessionalCat2770 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hey everyone! I'm 22F, 40kg, 5'1. I've been underweight all my life. Recently started my weight gain journey at 1700kcal, now I'm at almost 2000kcal (sometimes more by a 100 or so). However I'm concerned about the macros: 209g carbs 115g protein 90g fat. Most of the fat is from the butter, nuts, eggs and sometimes avocado. Here's what a typical day looks like: 500ml whole milk 25g butter 3 eggs 1 cup white rice (or bread) 100g chicken thigh (or red meat/mackerel/tuna) 1 cup instant oats (or granola) 2 bananas (or oranges/apples/avocado) 1 scoop protein powder 200g full fat yogurt (or cheese ..read more

I'm 19f, 6'0, currently about 145lbs, and my goal weight is around 175-185lbs. My goal is to mostly gain fat, and so I've been trying to get enough calories and fat in. (This might sound like a bit much but given my body type/health/etc it's not unhealthy). The only issue is my appetite is super low. Like to the point that for the past few months, I've only been eating ~1 meal a day (which unfortunately led to weight loss). I do try and eat enough food per day but I get rly rly full to the point that I rly can't do it. Does anybody have any advice? Could it just be that my appetite is used to ..read more

It seems to give me really high calories even without my activity factored in!? Bare in mind this is without my activity with my activity it’s something crazy like 3000. I do like this calculator though because it gives daily weights, a graph and length of simulation etc. submitted by /u/Ok-Sound3466 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I’ve done red maca, eating more calories(which is difficult to maintain bcuz loss of appetite bcuz of mental health, or not enough food at home,Im very picky, when I get sick etc), carbohydrates shake, oats, it’s a chore to do all these things and since I can’t always do them and I would lose the little weight I’ve gained, I’ve just given up and also I don’t have the energy or time to keep up. I’m exhausted of making efforts mentally and physically. Can u recommend me actual products/pills/supplements etc that make u gain weight QUICK? And I don’t want muscles, I want fat. I’ve heard of apetami ..read more
