We previously announced that Travis McCabe had signed with World Tour team, Israel Start-Up Nation. It’s great to see our versatile sprinter getting another crack at the show in Europe. On behalf of the entire team, I want to thank Travis for all he contributed to Floyd’s Cycling in 2019, including dramatic wins, contributions to race plans, leadership and panache. Travis has a winning presence both on and off the bike, and we look forward to seeing him banging bars in his new team colours. Israel Start-Up Nation, formerly the Israel Cycling Academy, is easily one of the most interesting story ..read more

Floyd’s Pro Cycling to Cease Operations
Silber Pro Cycling
by Scott McFarlane
4y ago
Unfortunately CanAm Cycling, the management company running Floyd’s Pro Cycling, was unable to secure a title sponsor for 2020 and so the team will cease operations at the end of this year. I’ll begin this announcement by repeating what’s been said all year: Floyd Landis supported our team at a time when North American road racing needed it and when he could have easily used that money to support the growth of Floyd’s of Leadville. His decision to be the title sponsor of our team was in part an act of loyalty to Gord Fraser and a sincere wish to help young riders on our team. Throughout the se ..read more

Nick Zukowsky has signed with Rally UHC for 2020. He will be joined on the team by former teammate Stephen Bassett. Gord Fraser has been Nick’s director since he was signed in 2017 and has had a significant impact on his development. “Proud to hear of Nick’s graduation into the Pro Continental ranks,” commented Fraser. “It’s another example of Silber Pro Cycling’s legacy in developing cycling talent. It’s also an example of Floyd Landis’ commitment to helping riders get to the next level. We wish Nick all the best in 2020.” Indeed Zuke has been a special part of the program Gord and I have bee ..read more

Noah Granigan flew the Floyd’s colors solo this Labour Day weekend at the Gateway Cup in St Louis. Gateway consists of 4 crits in the St Louis area, with an omnium or overall classification based on how riders did throughout the weekend. Racing without teammates, Granigan nonetheless came a way with two top-10s, a second place at the Francis Park crit and a win at the final race of the weekend held on the technical Benton Park course. He finished 2nd in the omnium, behind Bryan Gomez. Meanwhile, Carson Miles and Robin Plamondon were racing at the Green Mountain Stage Race in Vermont. GMSR is o ..read more

Quick sum: We had 3 riders finish in the top 10 of the Prologue, including Serghei Tvetcov in 3rd. Travis McCabe was in a bucket of breaks, was 2nd on Stage 4 and won the Points Classification for the 3rd year in a row. Keegan Swirbul was 3rd on the final stage and finished an excellent 8th overall. But that’s old news. Here’s what went on behind the scenes… Meet our wrench, Richard Knutson Don’t judge us. You’re the one who kept reading… We like Richard so much, we cloned him. we cloned him. Richard & Little Richard aka “Allegedly Gary” ©Scott McFarlaneHere are some of the things the twi ..read more

Carson Miles Wins Matapédia Overall
Silber Pro Cycling
by Scott McFarlane

While the rest of the team was racing in Utah, Carson Miles, Robin Plamondon and Noah Simms headed to Amqui, Quebec for the GPC de la Matapédia (Aug 7-11). The result sheets made it look easy: Carson took over the GC after a 5th place finish in Stage 3’s 15km Time Trial and then the 3 Floyd’s riders took control of the race, fending off repeated challenges from Alexis Cartier (Vélo 2000) and Connor Topping (Probaclac). Robin would finish 5th overall with Noah 7th. These results, however, were the product of hard racing. Matapédia is not well-known nationally, but has over the years consistentl ..read more

Silber Pro Cycling

Travis McCabe finished an outstanding 9th at Crusher in the Tushar, one of the premier gravel races in North America. His result follows up on teammate Noah Granigan’s 9th at Dirty Kanza and Noah Simms’ 13th at Paris to Ancaster. Our team’s success on our Van Dessel Full Tilt Boogie bikes is great, but not the point. We just want to be part of the action. More on this later but you get the picture (from L-R: Simms, Granigan, McCabe and our mechanic/racer Richard Knutson ..read more

Serghei 5th overall at Sibiu
Silber Pro Cycling
by Scott McFarlane

Serghei Tvetcov finished an impressive 5th overall while racing for the Romanian Federation at the Sibiu Cycling Tour, a UCI 2.1 stage race that is part of the Europe Tour. The tour highlights the Romanian region of Sibiu and features a gorgeous stage 2 that finishes at Bâlea Lac. On this, the most decisive of the 4-stage race, Serghei finished 4th and moved into 5th overall. From this point on it was a matter of managing splits and time bonuses. After stage 3 to Pāltinis, Serghei had moved up to 4th and 2 sec off the podium. On the final stage, however, he was isolated and it was Serghei’s ex ..read more

Boise Twilight Crit: Zukowsky 2nd
Silber Pro Cycling

The day after teammate Serghei Tvetcov won the Chrono Kristin Armstrong, Nickolas Zukowsky finished 2nd at the Boise Twilight Crit and ensured the team’s trip to Idaho was a success. Zuke continued his consistent run of wins and podiums this year against a loaded field including winner Justin Williams (Legion of LA) and top sprinters from Rally, Arapahoe and Aevolo who were all vying for the win at one of the premier stops on the USA Crits series calendar. What’s most impressive about Zuke’s success this year is that it has transpired across multiple terrains, in the bloating heat of Boise, in ..read more

Serghei Tvetcov Wins the Chrono Kristin Armstrong
Silber Pro Cycling
by Scott McFarlane
5y ago
Last Friday Serghei Tvetcov confirmed his form by taking the team’s 31st win of the season at the Chrono Kristin Armstrong. The 24km ITT starts at Glenns Ferry then travels out-and-back along the Oregon Trail, where historically horse and oxen teams hauled goods to and from the so-called “new frontier” (I’m sure Shoshone traders had alternative names for the territory). Regardless, it was Serghei who was hauling it to the turn around point, where he was tied with Rally’s Brendan McNulty for the lead. On the way back, Serghei smoked the primarily downhill return to the finish, taking 6 sec from ..read more
