Introducing Endpaper, my newest fabric collection! My fourth fabric collection for Ruby Star Society, and my fifth fabric collection overall, Endpaper was inspired by a collection of old Readers Digest Condensed Books I found at a used bookstore. The collection contains twenty-four quilting cottons and three linen-cotton canvases (you can view a flip through the entire collection here). It’s available for wholesale ordering now through Moda Fabrics sales reps, and will ship to stores in November 2024. Masks for Justice Action Center

I’ve partnered with Justice Action Center (or JAC) to raise money for their work around immigrant rights. JAC is offering masks with my Many Suns print in exchange for a $25 donation. And yes, I know that the CDC has relaxed its mask guidelines, but masks will probably continue to be a requirement for travel and large, indoor gatherings for a while. You can learn more about JAC and purchase a mask here. The post Masks for Justice Action Center appeared first on Jen Hewett ..read more

Unruly Nature by Jen Hewett, Quilting Cotton Unruly Nature by Jen Hewett, Linen-Cotton Canvas I’ve designed a new fabric with Ruby Star Society. It’s called Unruly Nature. I designed it during Summer 2020, when I’d been sheltering in place for a few months and the only consistency to my days were my daily walks in Golden Gate Park. I was inspired by the way nature just continued to do its thing, despite everything else that was going on. It’s available for wholesale order from Ruby Star Society/Moda Fabrics now through mid-June. The post New Fabric Collection with Ruby Star Society! appear ..read more

Birds of a Feather Pajamas for Anthropologie

I designed the prints for this pajama set, Birds of a Feather, sold exclusively at Anthropologie. I originally created this design way back in 2015, for my Print, Pattern, Sew project. I never know what will resonate with customers; I’ve found that it often takes 4-5 years before something I’ve created is licensed by manufacturers and retailers. I guess I’m just ahead of the curve! You can purchase the pajamas here. The post Birds of a Feather Pajamas for Anthropologie appeared first on Jen Hewett ..read more

My Sun #1 print is now available exclusively from 20×200. This sunny illustration has been letterpressed onto a beautiful, heavy paper. It measures 8×8″.  My friend Dana Williams-Johnson also wrote a lovely introduction to the new print. You can read it here (thank you, Dana!). For those of you who like to wear your art, this illustration is also part of a scarf that is available in my shop. The post New Sun Print for 20×200 appeared first on Jen Hewett ..read more

Weaving by Alicia Scardetta Quilt by Melanie Tuazon Greetings from smoky San Francisco! If you’ve been following the news, you’ll know that California is in the middle of the worst fire season in recorded history. But that’s not why I’m writing. I’m writing to tell you about a project I’ve been helping to organize: Textile Artists for Movement Voter Project.Movement Voter Project is an organization that funds and supports local groups that do community outreach work year-round in crucial swing states.  These are the states that will determine the outcome of the 2020 election.
