For the last year ive had constant nausea, indigestion, gagging, lpr, and ocd thoughts/anxiety with no history of these symptoms prior. The mental issues began right with my covid infection and the stomach symptoms started a month or two later. I had an endoscopy showing gastritis and a small ulcer, negative h pylori and flatline sibo test. Had a stool test showing some dysbiosis but nothing crazy. Did week long course of tetracyclin and metronidazole just in case the h pylori was missed. It was supposed to be two weeks but i had such severe nausea that i decided to stop. Did herbals for a mo ..read more

Anyone else have super high cortisol or DHEA-S? What was your arthritis timeline?

My cortisol and DHEA-S are both way higher than the reference limits, and I’m wondering if it’s active Lyme causing my hormonal shifts. For those of you who know when you got a tick bite (or otherwise acquired an infection), how long before your arthritis symptoms showed up? It’s impossible to know for sure, but I am trying to figure out if I had a hidden infection for months/years, only to be triggered by a moldy apartment, Covid or the vaccine. My strong gut feeling is that I was infected by sexual transmission. My symptoms (pain and arthritis in multiple joints) appeared a few months after ..read more

Progress?

I joined this sub a while ago after testing positive for lyme and panicking that my antibiotics weren't helping. My doctors just weren't listening to me and I kept pushing for referrals. I finally got in to see an infectious disease specialist and he basically told me that yes, some people do stay sick for a while after getting lyme and taking antibiotics, but chances are you'll still feel better in a few months to a year. He told me I had to go easy on myself and focus on recovering, but he didn't want to try any more medicine at the moment. It's been about a month since then and almost half ..read more

False Positive Elisa?

Does anybody have an explanation for a positive Elisa antibody igg igm result, but two consecutive negative western blots from two different labs for babesia, burgdogfori, anaplasma, bartonella and erlichia. Both completely negative. I’m having trouble interpreting the results. What could trigger the antibodies test positive? Two consecutive negative western blots seem promising the result is accurate. Has anybody experienced or heard of a similar situation? Can other infections trigger a false positive Elisa? I want to eliminate the possibility of Lyme. Thanks for any responses in advance s ..read more

How often do you do red light to help? I haven't noticed red light therapy helping in the past but now starting methylene blue and was told I could consider combining with red light submitted by /u/lgag30 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Really struggling - been a year of antibiotics and nothing is helping

Long post ahead. Been a year since I was referred to a LLMD, ran the expensive bloodwork, came back with slightly elevated (yellow) IgG's for burgdorferi and californiensis and red for Epstein-Barr IgG, which means I've been exposed to Lyme but of course no guarantee that it's still there. So the doctor put me on a never ending parade of antibiotics, both oral (6 different ones) and injections (4 different ones). Had some possible Herx reactions (but it seems like everything is a reaction when I bring it up with my doctor, like the butterfly meme) yet not getting better, and if anything I'm w ..read more
