On February 6, 2024, Partners for Youth with Disabilities (PYD) hosted its 22nd Annual PYD Honors Night (formerly Mentor Appreciation Night). Held at the Nonprofit Center, PYD celebrated and honored the remarkable achievements of our resilient youth and dedicated mentors throughout the past year.

On January 4, 2024, a momentous occasion unfolded at Spaulding Hospital in Cambridge as PYD’s Access to Arts (ATA) community mosaic project was officially unveiled. The culmination of creativity and hard work from dedicated participants during the enriching fall 2023 ATA program came to life, transforming the blank walls of Spaulding Rehab into a vibrant mural.

Partners for Youth with Disabilities partnered with GEICO for a second year to award young adults with disabilities the GEICO Changemaker Scholarship to support their educational goals. Selected scholars are undergraduate students with disabilities in their Junior or Senior year who have shown exemplary leadership experience and represent the fields of Business, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or Marketing. We’ve put together a Dream Team: the Fall 2023 Cohort of the Dinah F.B. Cohen DREAM Fellows! The Dinah F. B. Cohen DREAM Fellowship is a program for college students and recent graduates with disabilities that is dedicated to equipping participants with essential professional skills and developing their leadership capabilities. Our programs are back and better than ever this summer, offering fully in-person participation options for the first time in three years! Boston, Massachusetts: June 1, 2023 – Partners for Youth with Disabilities (PYD) is one of 150 local nonprofits to receive grants of $30,000 to $1,000,000 through Cummings Foundation‘s $30 Million Grant Program. Cummings Foundation has now awarded more than $480 million to Greater Boston nonprofits.
Our Boston-based organization, which received an unrestricted grant of $225,000 over 3 years, was chosen from a total of 738 applicants during a competitive review process.
