I am inspired to get started due to the beautiful creations I see on this sub all the time! But I have no idea where or how to get started :( I want to start beyond buying the icing at the store pre-made, but have no clue where to even begin. Any and all tips or recipes, experiences, etc are appreciated! :) submitted by /u/cmondothefoxSWAT [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Spots in royal icing

Why are there spots in my royal icing? This is my third time making sugar cookies with royal icing, and the first time this has happened. I made the cookies the day before. First photo is about 12 hours after I left them to dry, and the second photo is right after I finished decorating them. I've put so much work into this and only have three more days to make new ones before my son's birthday, I don't want this happening again. Please help? submitted by /u/scarriere [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hello! I’m new to the cookie world and started following quite a few popular accounts. I see that most of the accounts have an option to buy their recipe (mik & cookies and grunderfully delicious) My question is are they worth to buy ? Or find one online? submitted by /u/Hot-Chance-6579 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Help Needed - Kodak Luma Projector

I recently purchased the Kodak Luma 150 Ultra Mini Projector and cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to flip the image. I am using the projector's wireless function to mirror my computer's (Microsoft) image, and when I put the projector on the stand, the image is upside down. Does anyone here have this projector and know of a way to change the settings so that the image flips? I have been flipping the text on my computer upside down, but it is really hard to work with that way; plus, I am assuming that this projector has such a simple function, and I am just not smart enough to sort it ..read more

First time baking and decorating with royal icing I am always in awe when I see the gorgeous cookies with intricate details on here. This is my first ever attempt. I wanted to make the cookies for my daughter’s 1st birthday party this upcoming weekend. This is my “practice batch” to see if I should scrap the idea or proceed. First bake was too thick and both batches I had trouble with the icing consistency. This is hard work and I really appreciate now why it’s so expensive to have professional cookies made. Definitely worth every penny! Anyway, here’s part of my “Berry First Birthday” co ..read more
