This weekend was packed with action for Killorglin rowers as they participated in two major events. They competed at the Skibbereen Regatta, held at Inniscarra Lake in Farran Woods, and also took part in the European Coastal Rowing Championships Qualifier in Ringaskiddy. Intermediate School Killorglin, renowned for clinching the best rowing School trophy in 2007, made a valiant effort to reclaim the title this year. Overall, the school secured the third position out of 53 participating schools. Methodist College seized the championship with 32 points, while Caloiste Iognaid and Castletroy College tied for second place with 21 points each. ISK achieved third place with a total of 16 points. Our next destination is O’Brien’s Bridge in Co. Clare, promising a busy weekend filled with thrilling races over the two days!
