Last night’s playoff loss wasn’t just the end of the season, it was the end of an era, too. It was Brockport’s final game as a member of the SUNYAC. It’s bittersweet, for sure. I’ll miss it. The SUNY Brockport ice hockey team fell, 5-1, on the road Wednesday night in the first round of the SUNYAC Conference Tournament. Brockport ends the year 8-14-4 overall and 5-10-2 in the conference. Cortland scored first, sneaking the puck in at 16:44 into the first period. Brockport recorded nine shots in the first but did not even up the score before heading into the first intermission. The SUNY Brockport men's ice hockey team tied Buffalo State, 2-2, on Friday night in Buffalo. Brockport is now 6-13-4 overall and 3-9-2 in the conference.   Brockport recorded 23 shots in the first period to Buffalo State's 13, but neither team found the back of the net in the first 20 minutes.   The Golden Eagles struck first with Connor Galloway sending the puck past Cumberworth at 8:26 into the second period. Brockport earned two big points towards the conference standings and now sits 7-13-4 overall and 4-9-2 in the SUNYAC.   Fredonia struck first scoring at 10:12 into the first period to go up 1-0 early. The Golden Eagles are now 3-8-1 in the conference and 6-12-3 overall on the season.   The Golden Eagles recorded a total of seven shots in the first 20 minutes compared to 11 from the Lakers.
