The following STLWS members, Terry Lay, Kathy Morrison, Connie Schmidt and Maggie Zografakis, were juried into the St. Louis Artists’ Guild exhibition, A Change of Scenery, which showcases artists working in various mediums whose work engages with landscape, exploring how the natural environment around us influences our representations of ourselves and communities, by juror Michael Anderson. Jan Foulk and Linda Wilmes were accepted in Framations Custom Framing & Art Gallery’s “American Spirit” exhibition by juror, Ted Gillespie. The all media exhibition of artwork portraying visions of the American Spirit runs at the gallery located at 218 North Main Street, St. Charles, MO, from April 20 – July 6, 2024 with opening reception and awards ceremony on April 20th from 6:30 – 8 p.m.

The Saint Louis Watercolor Society’s 24th Annual Juried Exhibtion held its Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony on April 13th at the St. Louis Public Library – Central Library in the Carnegie Gallery. The exhibition is beautiful and we had a very nice turn out for the event. Our juror, Susan Blackwood, sent us her comments on each of the award-winning paintings which were included in the awards presentation. We also presented our new Signature Status members their certificates.

Connie Schmidt’s painting Mellow has been accepted to the Colorado Watercolor Society 33rd Annual State Exhibition by juror Carolyn Lord. The exhibit will be at the Curtis Center for the Arts, 2349 East Orchard Road, Greenwood Village, CO, from May 11th through June 29th, 2024, with an opening reception from 6-8 p.m. on May 11.
