It is generally accepted that pre Luxottica Ray-Ban sunglasses with accetate and metal frames (like the Wayfarer and Aviator) are superior to post Luxottica sunglasses. But is this true for their plastic frame sunglasses? As far as I can tell, the Baloramas have always had nylon frames and glass lenses, and I'm fairly certain that plastics from the 60s and 70s is vastly inferior to plastics today.
