Hello, I am planning to process my APC assessment to get my interim certificate for AHPHRA limited registration. I have a few questions that I would very much like a help with. Is it possible to be qualified given that I'm newly licensed here in the Philippines and has not yet earned enough working experience for the Working Visa requirements? Is there any Filipino Physio here in working in Australia that could possibly guide me on what steps I should take? Do any of you have any knowledge where I could possibly get a sponsorship for the job? If yes, are they open for someone who is jus ..read more

Located in Canada Is it just me or is the McKenzie Method under-utilized or effectiveness is not well understood? Saw a new patient last week with a pretty clear disc presentation: Painful, limited forward bend. Pain going down to the posterior thigh. Extension was restricted but not as painful as flexion. Positive crossed SLR Aggravated with sitting and with cough/sneezing Started 2 months ago and is taking pain meds in the morning and at night. She had already seen a physio but stopped because she said her leg pain got worse. The chiro she is seeing currently seems to be focusing on acupu ..read more

Hey, I’m an MSK specialist based in the UK. With my current employer we’re given allowance to attend in person CPD events every financial year. I’ve been looking online and it seems incredibly convoluted to find in person courses that are happening e.g the CSP website will show some but not all Jo Gibson events coming up. Has anyone found any websites that they have found useful to find in person CPD courses? Thanks! submitted by /u/DoorLimp2443 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Please excuse my ignorance. I've had 70+ sessions of physiotherapy from one of the best hospitals in our country, physiotherapist had 15+ years of experience in the field, and yet could not figure out the cause of my stiff SCM muscle. All he did was make me lie on heating pad, and use massage gun and manually work on my 'trigger points' and 'knots'. Then made me do strengthening exercises. My SCM is STIFF, jesus christ figure something out please. But no, he wouldn't examine my arms or other areas to determine the cause of SCM stiffness. I repeatedly asked him to do a full body examination an ..read more
