It was the wheat bread, not the almond and the sunflower butter.

To start off I’m allergic to peanuts. But I was craving a pb&j so I bought some almond butter and went to town making a sammie. Boom ? allergic reaction. Had to use the inhaler, Benadryl and wait it out. Still wanted sandwiches though the next day, so bought sunflower butter boom ? again. It was so bad I had to go to the hospital. Today I had no sandwiches ? sad day. But I had a nibble of pizza at 5:45, felt symptoms come on, but ignored them because I didn’t want to go to the hospital again and be deemed a faker. For some reason I feel really guilty being here. 6:00 decide to face it ful ..read more

What are the differences between Desloratadine and Loratadine, if any?

I usually take Desloratadine (Aerius) but I saw this good deal on no-name Loratadine and I bought it on a whim. I remember reading somewhere that the difference between the 2 is so subtle, almost negligible, that they're essentially the same thing. Allegra side effects?

I’ve taken allergy meds my whole life for seasonal allergies. First Zyrtec then Claritin and last year I started Allegra. I had no issues with it last year. I started Allegra recently and around the same time I started having serious gi issues. (Gross stuff warning). I’ve been having borderline diarrhea with persistent nausea after eating and food goes straight through me basically undigiested within a couple hours of eating it. It’s been like a week and I have no clue what else it could be has anyone had this? I thought tense meds had basically no side effects but I recently heard nausea and ..read more

I am a 40 plus male and have never had seasonal allergies, ever. However, this week, I have had crazy itchy and burning eyes. Indoors us fine but when I am outside around trees and parks, I want to pull my eyes out. No sneezing, runny nose or amything else. Feel fine physically and mentally. Did I just develop a new allergy? submitted by /u/randomindianboy [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Fatigue due to Allergies?

So these past few days have been a bit tough for me. It is spring and pollen is in the air and I can feel my allergies acting up (or at least I think). I have had a runny nose for the past few days and I have also been feeling fatigued, as well. Last year, I felt mostly a runny nose, itchy eyes, and sneezed a lot. Last year OTC meds helped me, but they have not been doing too much this year. I have been wondering, is it normal for my symptoms to be different this year? Is anyone else feeling fatigued and how do you tell if it is from allergies and not like a very bad terminal illness? submit ..read more

I trimmed my nose hair for aesthetics and so I can breathe better. But ever since then my right side is blocked and I can see the turbines being so swollen. Honestly I think I made a mistake. Can someone tell me that the nose hair doesn’t make that big a difference. I think it’s a placebo effect submitted by /u/_Luminos [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Is allergy medicine safe taken daily if you’re actually exposed to harmful cement dust at work?

40 years old and never had issue with allergies and I’ve worked in the cement manufacturing industry for almost 20years now, I’m starting to develop allergies which taking a daily Allegra helps clear things up but I’m afraid of taking this type of medicine that opens up your airways and calms down your immune system is actually detrimental in the long run because I could be “overriding” what could be a natural response to the harmful cement dust I get exposed to from time to time. I wear respirators and avoid bad areas as much as I can but working in that environment it’s impossible to stay 1 ..read more

Am I allergic to Chaga mushrooms?

From my blood test, I discovered that I'm allergic to Birch trees (sensitivity to it is about 7 out of 10), and since Chaga grows on birch I'm curious if it will be safe to use, because it still sucks out the all of the nutrients from the birch... submitted by /u/br0cat [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Do you guys have recommendations on what I can use to get rid of nasal congestion/puffiness under eyes from allergies?

Hi all. I’m looking for suggestions for allergy medications or products I can use to reduce the bags under my eyes caused by allergies. The bridge of my nose appears swollen causing bags under my eyes. Zyrtec and Allegra help with allergies but don’t do much to get rid of the eye bags. I think I need to specifically target the congestion. I don’t have dark circles most of the time, it’s just puffiness! Any suggestions? submitted by /u/DPal82 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
