What is brass jewellery?
Brass is a commonly used metal used when creating all types of jewellery, due to it's versatile nature and affordability to produce. Brass jewellery can be a fantastic material choice for jewellery for most people, however as it's an alloy of copper and zinc it may not suit all skin types and can tarnish over time. Is surgical steel jewellery right for me?
There are several types of metal used for body jewellery manufacturing – however not all may be suitable for you. The wrong type of metal may cause you to have a reaction – or skin irritation. The main culprit for skin irritation would be nickel.
The most common type of metal used for body jewellery is surgical grade steel. Here at Cherry Diva we used 316L surgical grade steel for many of our body jewels. The 316L number denotes the low carbon version of the steel.

Wow, that went fast – where did the year go? In 2016 Cherry Diva launched their very first range of sterling silver jewellery – Lunar Eclipse. Our Lunar Eclipse range carried a deep and magical theme, featuring moonstone and onyx, light versus dark.

We are super excited to announce that our second collection of sterling silver jewellery will be released on May 27 2016. The name of the collection is 'Wild & Free' and we think the jewellery really reflects this theme.
