Today is Giving Tuesday, a day of global giving.
Giving Tuesday reimagines a world built upon shared humanity and generosity. Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts, and everyone has something to give.
People normally get the urge to volunteer or donate to ..read more

Instead of speaking about childhood memories today, I wanted to share some of my favorite moments from the New York City Marathon. First, a HUGE congratulations to all the runners that ran the race on Sunday. NYCM was my first and still my favorite marathon. The spectators and energy of the race is unmatched.
This year I didn’t spectate the race in person bu ..read more

Happy Tuesday! It’s time for another edition of Tuesday Topics. This week’s Tuesday Topic: Free topic! Remember to link-up with Kim and Zenaida and the bottom of this post.
This week we have a free topic. As today is National Knock Knock Joke Day, I thought I would share some of my favorite knock knock jokes. The world feels extremely heavy right now, so I just want to do my part to share some laughter. Of course knock knock jokes are notoriously corny, but that also makes them so funny, lol.

Today is National Food Day, a day that aims to help people eat whole foods (healthy foods). I don’t really care for the term “healthy foods” because everyone has their own definition of healthy, but these are some of my favorite “healthy” foods.
Salads
I eat a salad once a day and never get sick of it because they are SO many variations. You can mix up the type of ..read more

Happy Tuesday! It’s time for another edition of Tuesday Topics. This week’s Tuesday Topic: Do you like or dislike Halloween? Remember to link-up with Kim and Zenaida and the bottom of this post.
I’m going off topic today since yesterday was National Sports Day!
I love sports and sports have been a part of my life since I was a kid. I always cheer on the New York teams in professional sports (baseball, football, basketball, etc). I did gymnastics for many years but stopped once I started high school. In high school I did one season of track and field my freshmen year (I was horrible, lol). Fro ..read more

I’m going off topic today since it’s World Mental Health Day. Annually, World Mental Health Day on October 10th raises awareness and mobilizes efforts to support mental health. I am so happy that the subject of mental health has become less taboo over the past few years. Anything to break the stigma about discussing mental health is a good thing!

Orangetheory Hell Week (October 24-31)
Although not technically a “race”, it’s on my Fall schedule. This will be my 5th year participating in Hell Week, and yes, it’s as brutal as it seems. It’s 8 straight days of really intense classes. OTF pretty much makes each template as hard as possible and you have to complete 5 of the 8 classes to get your Hell Week shirt. In 2020 I did all 8 classes, but I don ..read more
