I host a weekly stream/radio program that explores the world of jazz funk soul and so much more. I’ve been working on a special episode dedicated to Duke Ellington, whose birthday is April 29th. Tune in live April 29th at 6:30 PST on Twitch.com/diginmusic. Not sure if this kind of self promotion is allowed but I figure jazz heads can appreciate. Thank you!

I used to be really into this quartet, I think they may have done a TinyDesk concert and that’s how I found them. I cannot remember the name for the life of me. I remember the upright bass player being the leader of the band and he usually wears a white suit and has very long, curly red hair. I know it’s a long shot but any suggestions?

Just discovered this gem covered by Ella Logan 1939 and wanted to share. The title is actually Are You Havin' Any Fun? It's a good time for those that like 20s and 30s songs. She was on the stage in Finnians Rainbow a few years later. She was also Annie Ross' aunt.
