Jez Matthews writes.. We’re back running gigs and I’m really pleased to tell you what we’ve got coming up at The Lescar and at Yellow Arch studios in the first few months of the year. Full details below of our gigs in January - early March, plus a list of all confirmed gigs through to June. 2021 has been a good year for us at JazzLeeds despite all the restrictions. We've managed to put on over 70 live jazz gigs since lockdown lifted in May. Many thanks to all the fantastic musicians who have brought good music, and good cheer, to our audiences in Leeds  Some things to remember. How nice it is to be proved wrong. The first high point for Scarborough Jazz had to be the restart of our club nights. Our opening gig was on 28th.   Under the Surface Whilst the covid pandemic continued to cause chaos , Jazz North East were pleased to stage 28 concerts throughout 2021 providing work opportunities for over 100 musicians across the year. Initially the concerts began as live streams before combining with live audiences. The organisation are grateful for the partnership support of venues including The Globe, The Literary and Philosophical Society, Gosforth Civic Theatre, Cobalt Studios and Newcastle Arts Centre.
