Hi everyone,
I got my TSH/Thyroxine (T4) /T3 Uptake/ Free Thyroxine Index tested a month ago. My doctor said that my thyroid felt swollen and they were going to run some tests. It was TSH 5.730; Thyroxine (T4) 8.7; T3 Uptake 26; and Free Thyroxine Index 2.3.
Since my TSH was high, she waited a month to retest it. I was told to fast prior to it, I didn't eat or drink anything for 12 hours.
It now said TSH 4.130; Thyroxine (T4) 8.7; T3 Uptake 27; Free Thyroxine Index 2.3; Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO) Ab <9; Thyroglobulin Antibody <1.0
She said it's within normal range now so I'm confused. Is ..read more

My insurance does not cover tirosint sol. I pay $60 a month through a specialty pharmacy but this obviously does not go toward my medical deductible and it is a big expense. Anyone here have success getting insurance to cover it as an exception? If so, what was the reasoning your doctor gave?

I’ve been seeing symptoms of hypothyroidism that I truly don’t believe belong to stress/mental health for about 2 years. My doctor is refusing to give further tests due to my TSH level being 3.7, but last year it was 2.8. I’ve heard from you all lovely people that TSH is not be all and end all. I’m seeing an endo in January just to run further tests, but I feel silly going against my doctor. I’m seeking any encouragement if my symptoms do warrant additional follow up:
Symptoms: fatigue, brain fog, forgetfulness, disconnectedness, irritability, family history of it, weight gain, low libido, ri ..read more

Blood results from Nov 24th 2023
I've been feeling so sooo fatigued, malaise, and sick for 5 years now. TSH was 2.8 in 2018, 3.1 TSH in 2019, and 3.2 TSH in 2023. I had my FT3 & FT4 tested in 2020, both were perfect. Also had an antibody test, negative. So the doctor said that since those were normal and my TSH was in range he wouldn't treat me. An Endo said the same thing, so I gave up on blood tests for 3 years...
I'm suffering and now it looks like I might have a heart attack. I'm so worried. I need to eat better but the fatigue makes it hard to cook and be productive! I'm 30 years old ..read more

Hypothyroid and Hashimoto’s. Lately I’ve been feeling a slight burning feeling below my rib cage after I take my Tirosint. I’m also feeling a little warmer than normal anyone had similar experience? What might it mean? Too much on the dosage all of a sudden?

I have rough skin patches in various places and I know that’s a typical symptom of hypo, but recently I’ve noticed the same thing inside my mouth. Has anybody else experienced this?

I’ve been going to a hormonal specialist and I’m still not feeling good. After taking my medication my TSH went from 0.634 to 0.01 My free T3 went from 3.7 to 6.1 My issue here is I’m still always tired by noon. Anyone got any tips or suggestions to not feel like absolute trash all day long. My adhd medication was the only thing keeping me going but I feel too dehydrated to take it so yeah now I’m in the dumps. I’m caffeine free so absolutely no stimulants to cover up my symptoms.

anyone used cabergoline? I'm a man 36 years old. 1.77 cm , and 72 kg. 11 % body fat. my thyroid antibodies we're fine, TSH, ft4 ft3 . rt3 a bit up. but normally with that TSH of 0.50 I would have a bit high prolactin. anyone here taken cabergoline? one doc said it would be nice in low dose. other said it would create problems in thyroid. and make it worse. I don't understand the last guy.

Ok a little clickbaity. I was diagnosed in 2003 while in the military. I got out and rejoined in 2018. I have access to all the results in the military and there hasnt been 3 normals in a row, ever.
Since 2018 I've had 9 screenings and 3 were normal. I'm compliant with my meds. They keep changing my meds. One time I was hyper so the dropped it but now they've increased it again.
Does anyone else fluctuate like this?
I'm currently 300mcg.
