Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone can help me understand a section of my ultrasound report. Unfortunately, I can’t speak directly with the radiologist, and my doctor’s appointment isn’t until May. The report states: “Multiple small non-suspicious nodules in the right thyroid lobe measuring under 10 mm. Similar size and appearance to the previous scan. There are no nodules that meet TIRADS criteria for size or suspicious features.” I looked up TIRADS criteria, and I thought TR1 meant no nodules, and TR2 meant benign nodules. Why does the report say the non-suspicious nodules don’t meet the crite ..read more

Anyone else have experience with this? That's what the uptake scan says. I've been having issues since November with really severe symptoms. Lost 50lbs, been losing large amounts of hair, GI issues, fatigue, insomnia, palpitations, weakness, shortness of breath, heat intolerance. Everything I've read suggests I must have a severe case because it doesn't normally last this long or get so severe. I don't talk to my Endo about the results until the 30th but she did email me to tell me not to take the anti-thyroid medication I picked up last week. I did not have a cold or virus or anything. I hadn’t had an ultrasound until today on my path to figure out my thyroid nodule issue that was found during accidental CT scan findings 3 weeks ago. Based off the ct scan and the inconclusive FNA biopsy my surgeon decided to operate. He said I wasn’t a candidate for radio frequency ablation and should get a full TT. I was surprised by the TR3 category on my ultrasound today. submitted by /u/Crazy-Apricot-1609 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hello:) I’m just looking for some advice and to ease my mind about this situation. Background info ; I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and glaucoma at 6 years old. Currently I’m 22 years old and have been in remission for around 4 years. As a kid on and off doctors would comment on my thyroid looking enlarged but when I would get checked nothing ever came of it. So, now I am 22 and I had an ultrasound done on my neck because of some lymph nodes and I was told that I have multiple nodules on my thyroid but nothing of concern on the report. Ever since I’ve been constantly feeling my thy ..read more

Hey guys my first time in this subreddit and was hoping to maybe get some answers. I’ve been having some weird symptoms lately. I feel a hot/burning like sensation in my face/head and it’ll spread down to my hands and feet. I’m also feeling “out of it” and having tremors almost constantly on a lower scale. Since Friday every night with the exception of last night I have woken up from a sleep and my heart starts racing, my hands and face feel hot, I get nauseous, and I’m shaking like crazy while my knees feel like buckling when I get up to walk. This will last about 5-10 minutes before I go ba ..read more

Hi everyone! I've got some thyroid woes going on and I'm looking for answers...basically I had a physical in December 2023 where my TSH value was higher than normal (4.7) where previous years it had been around 3.5. So my doctor told me to come back for more thyroid blood work in 3 months (March 22nd), where the TSH came back as 7.3 and T4 seemed to be increased (4.3) as well. Around the same time I started feeling a bump on my neck, it seems to be around my thyroid but I'm not sure. Now it's almost a month and the bump is bigger than ever but I had new bloodwork taken April 9th where the TSH ..read more

About a month and a half ago I started having really bad anxiety/depression and started having panic attacks. I’ve been on levothyroxine 50mcg for years and years and my levels have always been perfect. Well end of February I took Clomid and that threw my thyroid off completely. Last week my T4 was 2.56ng/mL and the range is 0.91-1.7ng/mL so I was told to hold my med. yesterday I got my labs rechecked and my T4 went back in range to 1.3ng/mL, but I still have my symptoms of fatigue, anxiety, and depression. My doctor told me that it may take time for my brain to realize that my levels are fin ..read more
