I'm always dreaming of flowers, but this season, I let my botanical impulses run wild. Every collection begins with a spark, a point of inspiration, and so it began this time with some custom gowns for a few of our brides. A blue embroidery to match her eyes and the sea, another with Peonies blooming along sage branches. These custom gowns were so beautiful, I was compelled to create this new collection, Les Fleurs. And although flowers for spring may be a cliché, there is a reason for their timeless quality; an allure that cannot be denied. Each flower has its unique charm and character. From ..read more

A real life fairy goddess walked into our Los Angeles Castle one day, and of course we had to create some very special adornments for her. I love it when a bride fully embraces the fantasy of a wedding - Shannon had a vision for her day, and it was fairy tale vibes all the way. We started with the Ophelia gown, created custom sparkling floral-strewn sleeves, added our Enchanted Rose cape as a veil, and as you'll see, magic ensued. Starting the day with a first look with her adoring groom, and some light hearted moments with the pooch, our bride was a vision of beauty as she donned ..read more

There's something about a black tie wedding in California. The dress code is formal, but the vibe is relaxed. Dressed up to celebrate our beautiful couple's love, that Santa Barbara sun has us longing for warm summer nights. Photographed to perfection by Taryn Grey, this wedding planned by Event of the Season at the Belmond El Encanto and our gorgeous bride in Anais are a beautiful example of why we love classic black and white photos and lush garden weddings. Children at weddings can be a controversial topic - some couples seem pretty passionate about it on both sides. Well, these lit ..read more

Looking back over years of creating countless wedding dresses, one prevailing element in every collection I've ever designed, is flowers. A motif in lace, an intricate embroidery, or a 3-D applique, I think it would be impossible to find a gown in my collection without a blossom of some sort. And so of course I am a fan of the exquisite bridal accessories by Erin Rhyne. Leading up to my latest collection, we decided to collaborate on some hair vines and combs to pair with not only the new dresses, but also some of our bride's favorite styles. Each flower is hand-sculpted and hand-painted by Er ..read more

Does a wedding dress have to be white? Of course not! It's taken awhile, but after years of designing wedding dresses that incorporate color, I think the world has finally come around to the idea that a bride can wear whatever she chooses. My latest collection called "Adorned" was partly inspired by elements of jewelry, and as I was thinking about adorning our brides, I couldn't resist some metallic touches of gold and silver. As we get ready to ring in the holidays, here's to a touch of golden shimmer, some silver shine, and a toast of champagne. A briolette is an oval or pear cut gemsto ..read more

Some of our UK brides may find this wedding looks a bit familiar...it's our very own Heidi from Lace & Co. Heidi has helped countless brides find 'the one' over the years in her beautiful Wakefield bridal boutique, and we're so happy to celebrate her very own special day! Heidi planned an intimate wedding, and including the couple's two children to commemorate their new family of four was of utmost importance...along with wearing her dream wedding dress of course! Vows were made, rings exchanged, and then the new family of four headed out for a bit of a walk around the Scottish H ..read more

I love it when couples have an aesthetic and they carry it through. In this case, we've got a bit of dark academia mixed with enchanted forest, and as you'll see, these warm woodsy tones mixed with pops of golden light are what fall wedding dreams are made of. Read on to see our beautiful real bride photographed to perfection by Love + Wolves. Amanda chose our Shenandoah gown. Over my 20+ years of working with lace, trust me, I've seen thousands, but this one is truly unique. The geometric motifs have a bit of a bohemian 1970's vibe, and that deep, scallop edge is a beauty. When I design ..read more

There are so many ways to adorn our brides...with lace, with embroideries, with jewels...how about all of the above?! I chose the name "Adorned" for my latest collection because these are not minimalist or plain dresses; they are intricate, detailed, and yes, adorned. My view is, you have one day to be a bride. Do you want to see one of the most epic wedding videos ever? Need a break from shopping mania? Well, here it is. Our bride Skye chose the Soleil gown, and given the sun and sky connection, it really was meant to be. Just a warning before watching, make sure you have a box of tissues, and some privacy...I was literally sobbing while watching this, so maybe wait until you are alone. It will restore your faith in humanity, in love, in the majesty of nature...yup, it's that good. And if you'd like to see their photos, I'm featuring them in our next edition of our print magazine, "for the LOVE of ..read more
