I've been looking all over for it, but can't find a valid download link. I know the official download link was taken down, but I'd still like to play it.

I was thinking about how full body tracking could be improved.
I knew base station tracking/camera tracking had problems with occlusion. And IMU trackers had problems with slowly drifting over time, as well as "floaty" looking full body tracking.
So I thought combining these two types of tracking together would solve the issue of occlusion, drift, and floaty tracking all at once by combining the data from these types of tracking. (If that is possible)
Obviously, this would have downsides though like less battery life, larger and heavier trackers, and of course very expensive. But at the same ..read more

I'm in the market for a around 500ish dollar headset and I was thinking likely quest 3 or Valve index, I was wondering if I could get some second opinions on people who know way more than me on this topic or if I should be looking at something else, thanks.

Someone smarter than me please save me. All I want to do is play left 4 dead 2 on my meta quest 2. And before anyone refers me to any other post or link-> the challenge is 1) When it comes to tech I might as well be 40yo. 2) preferably no computer needed and definitely not a gaming pc.
Buttttt I will say, the game play doesn't need to be in VR I'm fine with playing it with a controller but using the Mets quest. Kinda like the Xbox beta- unfortunately I can't get L4D2 through that.

PSA: VR Gesture controls are now possible in UEVR
you can, Climb ladders, open doors, pick up, holster, punch, swing ect.
its customisable and works with anything that uses VR controllers as input
watch as we showcase in the Melee focused Dead Island 2

Sure it's neat you use the grab button and mime pulling yourself up each rung. But my issue is the top. The top bit is always awkward and mildly immersion breaking.
Do you pretend to step out? Do you click forward on the stick? What if the ladder tops out level with the building - how do you pull yourself up and over then?
I'd rather ropes, ziplines, stairs, elevators or jetpack. Ladder is the worst VR vertical movement type.
Oh and game devs who add buildings with ladders you can't climb or grab the rungs - please stop. Chekhovs gun applies.

I have been saving money for a vr headset and I managed to save 1600pln~400dollars I have no idea which of these three should I get for mostly psvr. I'm upgrading from Rift s and everything was perfect aside from the resolution, after a year it began bugging me. My specs are: Ryzen 5600g Rtx2080 And 16gb of ram. I mostly use vr for vr chat or half life alyx, sometimes Skyrim vr.
I heard that the Pico 4 has no display port connection but I love the desig+ people love the pancake lenses.
Quest 2 is outdated and doesn't have a DP.
I'm also worried about the compression in the headsets mentioned ..read more
