In the middle of a busy day of classes, I received multiple Desktop Notifications, directing me to screenshots on my family chat of our next-to-try burger spot.  Word on the insta-sphere was that a new burger reminiscent to ‘In ‘n Out’-fame had been created.  Having seen and heard much about the deliciousness of ‘In ‘n Out’ online, two thoughts came to mind: (1) Wow that looks strikingly similar to In ‘n Out; and (2) Must. Try. There was of course an interlude of a three hour class on Copyright and a few days to let the crowds die down before heading to Cinelesiure to check-out the ..read more

Hello from the other side of Year 3 Semester 1! Amidst the university intensity (*cough* Evidence Law *cough*) I’ve been pretty amazed at how fast the last half of the year has passed … did someone say Christmas? On Monday, I was feeling some festive post-exam baking and remembered that I had a box of cookie-mix in my pantry.  I used the White-Wings Choc-Chip Cookie pack. [Note: I’m still on the hunt for the ultimate quick and easy box of goodness but at the moment Betty Crocker is still my #1 pick.] Choc-Chip Cookie mixes are my go-to when I feel like Baking with certainty of outcome ..read more

PRELUDE: HI ALL!!  Unfortunately, I’ve had the sad realisation that photos are no longer loading on the majority of my posts on this lil’ space as the photo-host I was using has undergone some changes.  I’ve switched things up but don’t think I can salvage my older posts.  So… instead of fretting over past posts, onwards and upwards we shall go. THE POST: Here’s a little vignette of my recent trip to Bangkok.  Having been about 9 years since my first and only trip to the bustling city, I suggested to my Mum that we take a girls only trip in celebration of her birthday. &nbs ..read more

One of the things I enjoy most is travel writing and sharing all the odd- and loved-spots I find hidden in city corners.  I bring you a post on a recent trip to HOKKAIDO a.k.a cheese/milk (all things dairy) heaven and scenic wonderland. My first visit to Japan in 2010 was Tokyo-centric and I’d been wanting to explore its other islands ever since.  Did someone say soft-serve?  Before I leap into the holiday-limited world of work in about a years’ time, my very wonderful mum has made it a point that all holidays are utilised well until then and put together our ..read more

Hello from Sydney! (and a belated Merry Christmas) The night I completed 3 weeks of hard but fulfilling work with a truly fantastic group of giving and fun-filled individuals, I hopped onto a plane heading for Christmas in the land down-under. More specifically, this would be Christmas in Sydney for the first time in 15 years. A relaxing break like this could not have come at a better time! The most unique part about Christmas in Sydney is the oxymoron of summer and beaches with the iconic white winter Christmas imagery we all know so well. This was really drawn to my attention when someone re ..read more

HELLO THERE! I must sheepishly confess that this blog really has become an ‘inter-semester’ space.  This semester was one of the most challenging and the thought of blogging was sadly displaced.  Seeing that 2016 is drawing to a close (extremely quickly), it might be apt that writing be added to my the new year’s resolutions list. As a peace-offering for neglecting this space, I propose a special recipe of sorts on the eve of beginning a three-week internship.  Granola bakes are my go-to therapy when I find time in semester, but more so when the storm of law ..read more
