Haven’t noticed this before. I cleaned & descaled it earlier. I’ve since boiled it 8 times thinking it was left over product needed to be flushed out but it keeps coming up.
Anybody know what this is? I just want a cuppa.

Just wanted to relate a positive customer service story.
I emailed Friday Afternoon Tea about an order I placed with a request that I didn't think they would even acknowledge, let alone help me with. I won't go into detail, it's not important. I figured what the hell, I'll ask, the worst they can do is say no, right?
I was pleasantly surprised to have owner email me and let me know that they were happy to help me out!
Great customer service from my (somewhat biased) point of view. I'm grateful they could help me. Thanks Friday Afternoon Tea!!

Love the ito en tea bottles as they remind me of Japan and they’re pretty great cold. Want to try to replicate them so was wondering what kind of brew method (and how much tea to water) I should use?

Hello all
first time posting here.
I am looking for a new kettle to replace my Bodum gooseneck which is on its way out.
I need a larger capacity at least 1L and ideally temp controlled and able to hold.
I do 60% Tea (in a french press), 20% Aeropress and V60, and 20% general kitchen use for like americanos and cooking.
the only one that seems to fit the bill is the new Varia 1.5L Aura which claims to be able to do both gooseneck and quick pour options.
the price is pretty ridiculously high though and not much info and reviews on it.
Also I am very picky about the look of it as it will sit on ..read more

What is the best pearl jasmine tea ?
Any recommendations
I tried 4 brands so far and i would put them this way :
1) Teavire is the best
2) Yunnan Sourcing ( high quality tea . Looks fresh , but not enough of taste for me ( 1 spoon per cup ) )
3) Harney and Sons ( it doesnt smell , taste as good as 2 above teas and looks older )
4) Rishi ( it doesn't smell as good as 2 above teas and looks older )

Okay, so quite a few years ago before I really knew anything about tea other than making a cup of english breakfast, Two Leaves offered a brick of puerh. I was intrigued and bought it. The outer packaging from Two Leaves never said anything other than "Puerh Tea". It sat for a long time until I learned about gongfu brewing and now I'd love to know if anyone can help me understand what I have here using the paper wrapping information.

Hi my fellow tea lovers!
I get adagio promotional emails, and today's email contained a new product of theirs: "Puerh Coffee: A fresh twist to kickstart your morning! This cozy tea blends the earthy smoothness of our beloved puerh with the deep flavors of roasted coffee beans and a hint of creamy vanilla."
I enjoy a dirty chai (chai with shots of espresso), but a pu erh and coffee? I don't know how I feel about this ? has anyone tried it before?

Y'all please don't go off on me I know this is off topic. But I can't find a more relevant place to put this. I am about to have surgery which will leave me on bed rest for a month or so. I need a way to heat water for sponge baths, but obviously not to boiling. An Amazon link would be ideal, assuming an ordinary kettle can do this. Unfortunately my coffee maker and fridge do not have hot water options. Thanks for any suggestions!

Hello,
Until 3 or 4 years ago, I could easily buy Ito-en Oi Ocha kukicha, macha-iri, or similar in 100g bags for not a lot of money, often around $10 US. I could get it at H-Mart, for example, or Amazon. I believe it's the same that would be sold in a Japanese supermarket.
Does anyone know source of this these days, shipping from within the US?
I do see some vendors on eBay and with their own independent sites, shipping directly from Japan. Does anyone know if there would be import tax/duty buying from them?
Thanks!
