Mehran Maneshgar just edges out a veteran of the game Dalton Roy.  It went all the way to a decider and Maneshgar just had a bit more in the tank to achieve a tournament victory.  This is Maneshgar’s second victory in a qualifying event, so the rules state that his opponent will get the spot in the knockout round in the BC Open.  Dalton Roy made a wonderful return to these competitions as being the runner up he secures his spot in the BC Open.  A lot of close matches on Saturday and the level of play keeps growing. Big thanks to Jonathan Sun that filled in for Dav ..read more

Darcy defeated our previous champion, Mike Abou Daher, 4-0 to take the title.   Darcy and Mike both finished first in their respective divisions during round robin play and cruised through the playoffs to the final.   The first frame of the final was a cautious affair with both players respecting the abilities of the other. Darcy finally broke through and had a run on the colours to take it. The play opened up after that and Darcy caught fire with breaks of 50, 47, and 41 to take the next ..read more

Duncan “Banks” a spot in the BC Open   Duncan Banks defeats a veteran of the game Gary Wallace to win the third BC Open qualifier of the season in an epic affair.  It was a big grinder affair, a long battle that went the distance in the decider.  All the way down to the final black for Duncan to achieve a spot in the BC Open by winning 3-2.  Gary Wallace grabbed another second place and keeps knocking on the door, and getting ever so close to get a spot in the BC Open, can he get it in the fourth qualifier?  It was great seeing some new faces in the room, along wi ..read more
