How do you train? Lots of accessory work, less metcons and more strength focus in classes… What do you do?

I've been doing crossfit on and off for the last 10 years , and the last 3 years at the same box.
I've been PRing a lot of new weights and am probably top 20% at my gym and did OK in the open. I am doing mostly RX metcons but recently I feel like I am being singled out and one specific coach is condensending.
Like I could be doing open gym and do a METCON - and coach would come to me and say you cant RX that because 1) you know that run was only 380 metres, not 400 even though that run was fine in the AM class with a different coach, or 2) you need to step down from the box not jump down, 3 ..read more

Hello everyone,
Tomorrow, our gym is celebrating King's Day, which is on April 27th. I wanted to discuss this partner AMRAP and also make it a fun and effective workout session from start to finish. Here’s the plan for the AMRAP, which lasts 27 minutes:
27-calorie bike (13.5 each)
27 snatches at 115/75 lbs (alternatives: 95/55 lbs; dumbbell snatches for scaled)
27 synchronized toes-to-bars (alternatives: knees-to-elbows or V-ups)
27 dumbbell box step-ups or box jump-overs
27 synchronized dumbbell hang clean and jerks
In addition to the AMRAP, I’d like to include a dynamic warm-up to get us ..read more

Ik this was probably asked a lot but I’m looking to purchase new grips and I don’t really know which is better, I know both are great tho, still I’d like to know from your experiences which grips you felt more comfortable with and were better. I’m mainly looking for a good grip while being comfortable while wearing them.

Hey all- there is a new guy at our box that is obsessed with my husband. He’s about 20 years older than my husband and they have nothing in common. My husband and I go every day and that’s our time together. He started to realize what time we go and only goes those times. He gets upset when my husband partners with me for partner WODs and flocks to him during set up and kinda pushes me away from him. My husband hates him, as he only puts himself down and talks mad sh*t about his wife. We have tried going to different class times, but they’re so inconvenient for us. I’m only mildly concerned a ..read more

At the beginning of 2024, I loosely started a bulk basically just upping my protein, taking in a bit more calories and pushing myself to choose heavier weights and go to failure in the gym. Its been about 3 months, and I've seen significant progress, but now I'm noticing NONE of my jeans or shorts fit anymore. Even those that were baggier before. I do know I've put a bit of weight on just simply by eating more, but is it possible to gain this much muscle mass so quickly?

Been doing CrossFit for about a year but it wasn’t until January this year that I took calorie counting seriously. I put myself on calorie deficit with about 2100 calories per day (160 grams of protein) in 12 weeks with two exceptions, one weekend on a trip and Easter.
I worked out 5-6 times a week and during these 12 weeks I lost about 10 kg going from 85 kg to 75 kg without loosing muscle. However, lately if have felt fatigue in end the week on Friday and Saturday workouts. My guess is that I need to eat more calories especially carbs. Currently I average about 180g of carbs per day.

With all the penalties in quarterfinals (mostly workout 1) do you guys think there should be a way to make things right for the athletes? I was thinking like if someone gets a penalty they have a 24 hour window to send in a new video with the right standards and the same or more reps to get the penalty removed or something. Feels like way too much of the athletes career/year is depending on this online competition.

He is the strongest of the top 10 easily. He is the best runner since two years. Great in gymnastic.
Before getting downvoted look at my prédiction last year

Lets be honest. Roman, ricky, Pat and Justin have no chances.
