1st, between Satan and Jesus prior to his ministry
2nd Walking to Emmaus Christ talks to believers and opens their eyes.
3rd speculation during the 72 hours between the crucifixion and the resurrection another conversation with Satan who thinks he has beaten God at his own game. Needless to say, Satan learned the hard way he was wrong.
During any of these conversations did Christ use the person pronoun 'I.' What he did was quote scripture clarifying and elucidating it for his listeners.
Does anyone else see the connection among these three conversations?

Do all major languages have an equivalent of the KJV, a translation that (you believe) was specifically authorized and prophesied by God? Or just English? Not a gotcha, genuinely curious about where other languages fit into your worldview.

In the verse it says how to pray and not to babble, but I've had people tell me otherwise and pray as if it were a conversation to build a relationship with him and tell him how you really feel.

It seems to me that both the Bible and Science make the claim that living organisms originated from non living matter. The process of this origin differs but the basis appears to remain the same.
Bible Reference: Genesis 2:7 KJV [7] And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Scientific Reference: Abiogenesis "In biology, abiogenesis (from Greek ἀ- a- 'not' + βῐ́ος bios 'life' + γένεσις genesis 'origin') or the origin of life is the natural process by which life has arisen from non-living matter, suc ..read more

I’m the guy that was saying that Yahweh shouldn’t be God because He only is and promotes the light because the universe is made of light and darkness. Truth is I was just coming out of a bad lsd trip where all my crap life just hit and I beg God to come to me like He has with so many by sending angels or Jesus in a dream or a hell trip but all I get is signs and synchronicities that I’m supposed to stop evil.
So when I made the realisation of light and dark I didn’t thought Yahweh was worthy of being God and the next 3 days I just went into full depression because nothing mattered. If everyth ..read more

Been part of this post for a year. Read the Bible multiple times and read all your comments and thank you for pushing me to atheism or at least non conforming Christian. Bible is 90% metaphors and believers on here are 100% judgmental. Thank you as I will be banned from a Christian site soon.

I'm trying to understand what a strict tulip adherent is trying to argue when they evangelize. Ultimately it seems as though they believe that God himself makes people unable to repent. If they were made free, they would have had an opportunity to repent, but God did not ever want them to. Also, he makes his elect sin repeatedly. How is this going to convince anyone to become a Christian? You're going to tell them that God must hate them because they did not believe your cold and unloving argument? Or do Calvinists lie up front and then tell them the truth after?

should i read the new living translation?
so i grew up in a christian household, i used to read the bible every night before bed (NIV, adventure bible) and i went to church 3x a week. but it’s been over 10 years since my falling out with faith. despite my apprehension about religion as an institution, i am still fascinated by religion from all cultures, in a more historical context. i really want to have a deep understanding of christianity. i have a KJV of the bible, but i want to really get the /best/ understanding of the book. i know KJV is known for being hard to understand. does the NLT ..read more
