Found this at a central SC auction. In the style of Caine brothers decoys from Georgetown County in the Early to mid 1900’s, but may be a reproduction. I noticed that the tail stripes on the few pics I have seen of original Caine decoys are angled, on this decoy they are straight across. No attachments at bottom for an anchor rope. Comments?

This was purchased at auction from the estate of C.E. Guarino in Maine in 1995. Its solid oak measuring 6ft wide, 4ft deep, 29" tall. It was appraised for insurance purposes in 2002 at $8000, but there are a few things I am unclear on. The label in the drawer says renaissance Welsh table, but the appraisal described it as "Continental or American" from 1880-1900. Normally I'd just trust the appraiser, but I would like to do my due diligence since C.E. Guarino delt in valuable items and it was handled by a fairly reputable auction gallery. So what do you all think, late 1800s american/main ..read more

Hi all. This item belonged to my late Mother and I believe her Mother before that. I don't really know much about it so any information would be greatly appreciated. I'm generally wondering who the maker is and what timeframe it was made. Thanks in advance.

European Royal Family Album Mystery
I have an old family album that potentially belonged to a European family with a high social status (possibly royal). The family album is from the 1890s.
The pictures in the album are taken by prestigious photography studios all over Europe that potentially catered to royalty.
The question(s) I'm trying to answer: 1) Which family may this album have belonged to? 2) Are there any noteworthy people in any of the pictures that can be identified? 3) Any details that stand out
Some pictures have handwriting, but it is hard to read.
Let me know if you need an ..read more

Hello! I found this doll in my mom’s things. A note stated that it belonged to her mother. My mom is 75 and has dementia so she cannot provide me with information. The back of the doll has a marking that begins with Ellanb (I think) but I can’t make out the rest. I’d appreciate any information!

earliest possible date is 1854 and the absolute latest date is 1923 (based upon the lifetime of the original owner); I am hoping for more information on the manufacturer (B.M. Co.)and more specific date for this 2" long calling card case with the Freemason symbol affixed to the top (there are no marks on the back); item is from my ancestor's prior estate in California, USA, though the state of manufacture is unknown

Hello! My mom gave me this table. I think she and my dad got it outlet shopping in North Carolina. Any info on maker and age? Sorry if this isn’t an antique. I was severely humbled by my “tiffany” lamps I posted here years ago lol. Thanks! Snuck a pic with my Oma’s secretary in the background just so yall could see it. Not an antique but very cool imo. :)

I love this piece but can’t find a ton of info on it. I don’t think the base is original as it lifts off and doesn’t completely fit. It’s about 7ft tall and a little over 6ft wide.
