Photographer Nancy Grace Horton has been with Jessica Hagen Fine Art since 2017. The artist’s Barbie cyanotypes are currently on display in the gallery’s exhibition MELTDOWN. Nancy Grace Horton’s recent photographic work explores the role of women and gender in today’s society.

Artist Statement
This work represents the start of a beautiful relationship. For years, I have been teaching the cyanotype process but never really using it in my own art practice. Last fall, in preparation for my annual seasonal depression, I decided to do a deep dive into the blue world. I’m still having fun and here it is, almost Spring.

Brooklyn or bust: A visit to Hunt Slonem’s studio
Winter is studio visit time. Spending time in an artist’s studio is always enlightening. In the case of Hunt Slonem’s 30,000 square foot studio, the experience is also awe inspiring.
