Should I have two balls with the same coverstock in my bag?

I’m relatively new to bowling (only started taking it seriously just a few months ago), and I got my first ever ball this last Thursday (Storm Electrify) and so far I’ve really enjoyed it. Yesterday in league I shot 235 with just my second day of using it. Before this my arsenal consisted of only two balls: A plastic T-Zone and another cheap plastic ball. The Electrify has a reactive pearl coverstock and I was curious if I should buy another reactive pearl coverstock or buy a ball with a different coverstock like a urethane or a hybrid. Obviously I wouldn’t buy a new ball until I get used to ..read more

Pba Distractions

I’ve been watching most of the PBA events this year and noticed that during a lot of high pressure moments while a player is about to make his approach someone in the audience drops something or makes a noise. Is this really common in the PBA in past years as well? Gambling is now legal in bowling and I can’t help but think people are doing this intentionally. Jones had it happen twice last night and once today facing EJ, as well as a couple more big matches this year. It I s my first year watching in a long time, I’d like some opinions on it and if there is any way to combat it as a league ..read more

preface, Im very new to bowling, i picked up my first ball (Twist) about two months ago. i decided to throw two hole as the pro shop said you cant bowl two finger with three drilled holes so he recommended starting with two holes, seeing how it feels then drilling the third. i just started my first league and was wondering if this is correct? can i get a third hole drill but then only throw with two holes in league. id like to experiment with three finger throws without buying another ball or locking myself into it. the league also comes with a voucher for two new balls and Im wondering if i ..read more

These 2 videos were taken back to back. The first One I struck on felt really good and I wanna recreate that. However, the second one where I miss right felt the same, and I notice I lose balance. Can anyone see a noticeable differance I can change? https://reddit.com/link/1c9u637/video/avh9hxudowvc1/player submitted by /u/BowlingYolo [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Would the Eternity Pi complement the Zen Soul?

Debating getting a second strike ball, as my only one currently is a Zen Soul. I’ve been looking at either the Eternity Pi or the Radical Innovator. Both are available at my local pro shop, I really dig the aesthetic of each, and… I just like the ‘math’ balls :) It seems either of these would be good options given the Zen Soul is a symmetric hybrid, and both the Pi (solid coverstock) and Innovator (pearl coverstock) are asymmetric. Which one would you choose? Any other options I should consider? (Also, FWIW I’ve only been bowling for a few months now and my average is only 160ish. So feel fre ..read more

Coach recommendations for Las Vegas?

I’m 19 and I’m a self taught bowler who just got into bowling in October. I tried to start bowling one handed in February, but recently went back to two handed because it feels better. I’ve been watching a lot of bowling videos and interviews and a lot of the pros seem to have either been noticed at a young age or have parents who coached them/ worked in the bowling industry. I want to take bowling seriously and find a coach who can get me to a higher level, who wants to get me to that level and stick with me if I get good. How do I find that? submitted by /u/helpmethrowaway193 [visit re ..read more
