I'm looking for input on a new ball to start building an arsenal. My current set is a 15lb Pitbull Bark (that I surface at 500 grit) and an Ebonite Emerge Peal, also 15lb. Along with a White Dot 300 spare ball. I am a right, one-handed bowler and I have been bowling seriously in league for 5 years now. I started this season as a 170 avg and have worked my way up to a 193 avg. I've averaged 206 for the last 13 weeks, with 11 straight 600 series. Hello! I just got back into bowling after about an 8 year break. Went to my local pro shop and got a Phaze II + a spare ball as the Phase II seemed like a consensus all-around great ball. I will admit that my 6 practice games have gone much better than anticipated (averaging 210 with high score of 238 so far) and my scores would be even higher if I could pick up a 10 pin. With that being said, I can’t help but feel the phase II is a bit weaker than I’d like. I’ll preface by saying, I don’t feel as bad as I could already having multiple 300s under my belt, but this is just… hitting different. Wrap 10 on what everyone described as a “money ball.” Obviously just motivation for tomorrow night’s league and hopefully can carry the momentum into tomorrow and an upcoming regional tournament next weekend, and Open Championships in late June/early July. I’m pretty happy about my first time trying out this drill. I feel like it helps with release and really focusing on using the legs with the last 3 steps for power and accuracy.
