WWE has announced that the May 7 edition of Friday Night Smackdown on FOX will be a special “go-back” retro edition of the broadcast. Check out the official teaser trailer above. What a “go-back” special means precisely isn’t quite clear. The video has an old school 80s, early 90s WWF vibe, and they’re even using the modified classic logo. The Smackdown brand debuted in 1999 in the middle of the Attitude Era. Also The Miz is featured in the video for some reason? NBC has renewed Young Rock for a second season.
