Russia Set to Outpace All Advanced Economies – Sanctions FAILED
Armstrong Economics

Sanctions and the removal of Russia from SWIFT have not deterred the Russian economy. A recent report by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) predicts that Russia’s economy will grow more in the next year than any other advanced economy. The IMF believes Russia’s economy will grow by 3.2% in 2024, in comparison, the US is expected to grow by 2.7% while Europe’s top economy, Germany, is expected to grow by a mere 0.2%. Cutting off Europe from Russian energy backfired in a major way. Foreign investments have been pouring into Russia from the rest of the world, which is eager to join the rank ..read more

Why We Cannot Reach the Fed’s 2% Inflation Target
Armstrong Economics
by Martin Armstrong
12h ago
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) released on April 10 by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that inflation rose by 0.4% on a monthly basis and by 3.5% on the yearly. One must only look at their bills, items in the store, or open their eyes to see that the cost of living in every area has far surpassed this figure. Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell released some disparaging comments regarding the data, and we should not expect any rate declines in the near-term. The Fed’s 2% target is simply not possible due to excessive government spending. Inflation was never transitory and we ha ..read more

Republicans v the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Agency

The federal US government insists 60% of all new car production must be electric by 2030 – six years away. I have explained numerous times how this is unsustainable for US infrastructure, the private sector, and the average American consumer. Now, 13 Republican-led states are taking the federal government to the US Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit to ask that this mandate be repealed. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Energy (DOE) are violating standing laws by ushering in this new wave of electric auto manufacturing, according to the 13 attorneys generals wh ..read more

Judge Merchan’s Trial Will Destroy USA Like Trial of William Penn

New York Supreme Court Judge Juan Merchan is a seasoned jurist who is no stranger to Trump’s orbit. He has presided over the Trump Organization tax fraud trial, sentenced the former president’s close confidant Allen Weisselberg to prison over his role in the scheme, and overseen former Trump adviser Steve Bannon’s criminal fraud case. There is absolutely no question this judge is out of control, biased, and is orchestrating this trial to imprison Trump. He even expanded the gag order on Trump to protect his own daughter, who has admitted to having conversations with he father Ex Parte – tota ..read more

Florida is NOT California – Act Accordingly

In Florida, we drag these people out of the road and arrest them. pic.twitter.com/XU6ZUUf9xX — Bryan Griffin (@BryanDGriffin) April 15, 2024 Please reside in a state that stands with your current political allegiance. This week has proved that the rule of law is no longer applicable to the whole of the United States. We are no longer united. In California, pro-Hamas fools blocked off the Golden Gate Bridge for hours as authorities stood around and passively watched. They seemed to be protecting the protestors over the people. In their defense, Governor Newsom would not have permitted anyone ..read more

Lower-Income Americans and Republicans Least Likely to Switch to EVs
Armstrong Economics

I explained how the private sector does not wish to switch to EVs amid high production costs and low demand. A recent Gallup Poll found that Americans do not want to own an EV, and the plans to eliminate fossil fuels do not align with the wishes of the people. Around 7% of respondents, up 4% from last year, do own an EV. In 2023, 43% of respondents said they’d consider switching to electric, but that figure has declined to 35%. Fewer than half of adults, 44%, said they’d “seriously consider” or “might consider” buying electric in the future, down from 55% in 2023, while the number of people ..read more

The Truth About Fake News

The Economist’s editor-in-chief, Zanny Minton Beddoes, wrote that global warming would damage a tenth of the world’s residential property by value. They reported that this includes “many houses that are nowhere near the coast. From tornadoes battering Midwestern American suburbs to tennis-ball-size hailstones smashing the roofs of Italian villas, the severe weather brought about by greenhouse-gas emissions is shaking the foundations of the world’s most important asset class.”  Once upon a time, the Economist was a respected magazine. Today, there is no point in advertising there because ..read more

Binaifer Nowrojee has been appointed as the president of George Soros’ Open Society Foundations (OSF) as Mark Malloch-Brown plans to officially step down in June. The Open Society Foundation is openly interfering in elections throughout the world and funding the globalist agenda. George appointed his son, Alex Soros, chairman of his foundation in December 2022. So, who is Binaifer Nowrojee? It has been a great privilege to work at @OpenSociety. After largely completing the organisation’s transformation, it’s the right time for a new generation of leadership to take the reins. I deeply respe ..read more
