Sponsored shore excursions or DIY it?

Hi all… taking a cruise with my husband and my extended family in late july from NYC to Bermuda on Norwegian. There’s 3 activities we’d like to do and want to see if anyone wants to join in the fun. My question is if it’s better to book these excursions directly through Norwegian or if it’s doable to figure it out on our own (and maybe even save some $$$). The excursions I was looking at are: e-bike (Coopers Island beach and reserve), Crystal Caves, and the shipwreck and coral snorkel trip. submitted by /u/green_typewriter [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Does anybody have any experience with Dolcevitatour company? We are looking to book an excursion through them during our upcoming med cruise while docked in Livorno. There are a handful of reviews on TripAdvisor (all positive) but none are recent. Just wanting to make sure this is a reputable company! submitted by /u/ms3130 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Disney Thoughts

Hello! My husband and I recently were on the Disney Dream for a 5 night cruise. Honestly, the cruise was not for us. The Disney Magic was our first cruise years ago and we had a lot of nostalgia toward that trip. On the Dream we felt it really wasn’t worth the price point for us. Although the Quiet Cove and Rainforest Room was amazing, we felt much of the entertainment choices were lacking throughout the day or was the same over and over and the availability of food options was a struggle with what was open (oh yeah, muster drill -_-). After the trip, we said probably wouldn’t pick Disney aga ..read more

Ill start at the beginning. We have been under extreme stress for the past 2 1/2 years. We thought we understood how all this worked from our first conversation with a Viking rep, but we soon discovered that some of the things we thought were part of our packages were not. We overreacted. Coming here and venting led me to this post and a big thank you to everyone here. We spent quite some time after I removed the original post talking with another rep who walked us through the ins and outs of Viking travel and their responsibilities towards us. We now understand what we were expecting was wro ..read more

Best Mediterranean cruise for Irish couple (29F, 30M)?

Hi there! Myself and my boyfriend have never been on a cruise before, we’re looking to go on a Mediterranean cruise for 7 - 9 days at either the end of August 2024, or sometime in September 2024 (preferably the end of August weather wise). My boyfriend is 30, and I’m 29, we’re both from Ireland. We’re interested in a cruise that has good nightlife and activities, and offers an unlimited alcohol drinks package. It doesn’t have to be a cruise with no children, but we wouldn’t want a cruise that’s specifically targeted towards just children/ families. When I say good nightlife, I don’t mean nigh ..read more

Went from KEELUNG- OKINAWA- ISHIGAKI- KEELUNG… The food was ok but pretty repetitive? Has anyone else been on this line or any cruises that go from KEELUNG out? I want to try more! The ship seemed a little bit older but still clean. I didn’t understand the mini pools around and about the ship- it was all quite small; are most cruises like this? How difficult is it to apply to work on a cruise ship? Do you recommend to go directly to the port? I already applied on the web and I find it more difficult. Does anyone who has worked or is working have any information about how to get a job? I am a massage therapist and I want to know if I need my license to work on the cruise oh just with my diploma? Thanks in advance ?? submitted by /u/dura4ever [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
