A Course in Miracles and Entities

The idea of ghosts and entities can be a bit unsettling but according to A Course in Miracles, these supernatural beings actually originate in our own minds. The Course teaches that nothing exists in our illusion outside of our own consciousness. Any experiences we have of ghosts, spirits, or other entities are simply projections of our own thoughts and beliefs. These "entities" are not independent beings, but rather reflections of the fearful or negative ideas we hold within. The good news is, by shifting our mindset and letting go of these limiting beliefs, we can dissolve the power that t ..read more

Judgement and A Course in Miracles

The Course in Miracles teaches us that judgment is rooted in our personal experiences and perceptions. When we judge, we project our biases and beliefs onto the world. But what if we could learn to simply observe judgment, rather than get caught up in it? The ego loves to make judgments, wanting us to see the world in black and white terms of right and wrong. However, the Course invites us to step back and view everything outside ourselves, rather than taking it all personally. Judgment is neither good nor bad - it just is. What if we could learn to watch judgments arise without getting en ..read more

There are no levels in A Course in Miracles.

There are no levels in A Course in Miracles. You are either in fear or in love. Forgiveness is not something that happens in degrees - it's an all-or-nothing proposition. The Course is very clear about this - there's no partial forgiveness, no "sort of" forgiving. You're either seeing with the eyes of love, or you're caught up in the illusion of fear. There's no in-between, no middle ground. This can be a hard pill to swallow, especially for those who like to think they're making gradual progress. The Course shatters that illusion - it's either/or, black and white. You're either living in t ..read more

The Purpose of A Course in Miracles: Accepting the Atonement for Yourself

by Rev. Lora Nedkov

A Course in Miracles teaches that our true purpose has nothing to do with what we do in life, but rather a shift in our thought system. The fundamental purpose is to accept the atonement for ourselves through the process of forgiveness and miracles. The atonement is the means by which we remember our true self by releasing the ego's false beliefs. This is achieved through the practice of forgiveness, which allows us to see the world and others through the lens of love rather than fear. Miracles, then, are the natural result of this change in perception - a shift from fear to love. Ultimatel ..read more

"What if" and A Course in Miracles

A Course in Miracles teaches us that "what if" scenarios are based on the ego and the future. These hypothetical situations are rooted in past references and have nothing to do with the present moment or with love. When we find ourselves caught up in "what if" thinking, we are operating from a place of fear and lack. We are projecting into an imagined future based on our experiences, rather than staying grounded in the here and now. This type of thinking keeps us trapped in the illusion of the ego. The Course encourages us to let go of these hypothetical scenarios and instead focus on the ..read more

Handling Illness Through the Lens of A Course in Miracles
Lora Nedkov Blog
by Rev. Lora Nedkov

Your body and any fearful emotions around illness are ultimately symbols that can be used as inspiration on your spiritual path, but true healing and salvation can only come from within. The Course teaches that the removal of symptoms is not the goal - rather, it is the shift in perception that leads to genuine healing. We are encouraged not to be invested in the outcome when praying for healing, but to look beyond the symptoms to the cause of illness by connecting with the Holy Spirit. Healing and atonement (accepting the path to remembering who you are) are identical; they both require lo ..read more

Control and A Course in Miracles

A Course in Miracles teaches us that the need for control is really just an illusion. We think we have to control every aspect of our lives, but the truth is, that only leads to more stress and anxiety. The Course encourages us to let go, have faith, and trust that the Universe has our back. When we stop trying to control everything, that's when we open ourselves up to true peace, joy, and miracles. It's not always easy, but practicing non-attachment and going with the flow can be incredibly freeing. Who knows what awesome surprises might be just around the corner? Once you get the hang of n ..read more

Expanding Perception

One of the profound insights from A Course in Miracles is that we react to our own interpretations of events or people as if they are absolute truth. While we may control our outward behaviors, our emotions remain tethered to these interpretations. We get so caught up in our own narratives and subjective views that we mistake them for objective reality. But at the end of the day, our emotions and reactions are rooted in those personal interpretations, not necessarily the facts themselves. It's a good reminder to step back sometimes and question our assumptions, because there's usually more th ..read more

What if there were no rules?

What if there were no rules about how to conduct your life? What if there were no "should do's"? That's the premise behind A Course in Miracles - the idea that “should do's” are based on guilt, and when you align with your higher self, you're guided without that heavy feeling. Think about it - how often do we beat ourselves up over what we "should" be doing? We "should" eat healthier, we "should" exercise more, we "should" be better about responding to emails. But what if we let all of that go and just focused on what feels right for us in the moment? When you let go of the "sh ..read more

True Prayer and ACIM
Lora Nedkov Blog
by Rev. Lora Nedkov

Prayer in A Course in Miracles is not about begging for external circumstances to change, but rather about shifting one's inner perspective and mindset. The purpose is to move from a state of fear, judgment, and separation to an embrace of love, forgiveness, and unity. Prayer acts as a tool for inner transformation rather than manipulation of the outer world. By adjusting your perception through prayer, you can profoundly change how you interpret and experience reality, leading to greater peace and understanding. The aim is to cultivate inner peace and strengthen your connection with the D ..read more
