So, today i was doing some meditation practice. Usually, i sit and close my eyes and start with Alom-Vilom and then some Bhramari and then utter ‘Aum’, lastly i sit with my eyes kept close this whole time. I end meditation by rubbing my palms against each other and then apply them to my eyes(waits here for some time) and slowing open them. Today, when i was ending the mediation, I saw the black expanse and the little stars in that blackness(usually this) but i can always see the light coming through the dark(iykyk) but today, i couldn’t feel the light and it got very real black dark and i fel ..read more

Problems with the reincarnation and journey of souls concepts

I want to share with you my few concerns about the reincarnation and journey of the souls concepts, maybe someone would be able to give some logical answer. Unborn babies problem - Why do some souls choose to reincarnate into a being that will only exist for a few moments or so? Is this a conscious decision of a soul or a result of the karma mechanism? Additionally, how do we explain the fact that different eras have different numbers of unborn babies due to the advancement of medical technology? For instance, during the Middle Ages, around 30% of children did not survive till the age of 7 ..read more

Is Sadhguru's Mahashivratri festival legit?

I'm kind of new to spirituality. So far I've been meditating and learning about many kinds of stuff. I heard Sadhguru talk about mahashivratri and it's intriguing. "On this night, the northern hemisphere of the planet is positioned in such a way that there is a natural upsurge of energy in a human being. This is a day when nature is pushing one towards one’s spiritual peak. It is to make use of this, that in this tradition, we established a certain festival which is nightlong. To allow this natural upsurge of energies to find their way, one of the fundamentals of this nightlong festival is to ..read more

Best alternatives when psychedelic treatment isn't for you?

What are good alternatives to psychedelic treatment (ayahuasca ceremonies, ketamine therapy) when you want to dig deep/possibly remember repressed trauma and finally being able to release? Can't do psychedelics because of history of psychosis. (Tried talking to a therapist but that didn't do much for me. Then went to a foot-reflexologist and i had some visions of my past and cried about them, it felt releasing.) submitted by /u/theresotherworlds7 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Is wishing karma on someone asking for karma in itself?

I have recently started trying to heal my traumas. And today I was thinking about an ex cheating on me, asking myself lots of “why” questions. Anyways, that was for context, I was thinking; me wishing for karma on a person… is that not in itself me being “mean” & thus, me having to receive it too? As I am wishing bad on somebody? Like I said, recently started exploring my traumas and this may sound silly but I’m as much of a beginner as it gets with spirituality. I often feel jealous of him because he seems ( key word here ) to be doing better than me financially. I’ve been trying to expl ..read more

Is this unverified personal gnosis?

On Wednesday, Tuesday March 7th, 2023, I had an experience with psychosis on weed, where I heard an entity saying "be sober-minded", paraphrasing 1 Peter 5:8, before being possessed by an entity, so this makes it hard to deconstruct my Christian faith and not associate the gods with whatever entity possessed me, and makes it hard to not see the Bible as important and helpful, even if I'm doubting the Old Testament god and the authors of the Gospels' claims surrounding Jesus' divinity. It would seem I was possessed by a demon, daeva, or false god, possibly Shiva, considering my addiction to ca ..read more

I had just turned 15 when the pandemic started and because we were in lockdown I became chronically online. I was super into trolling, being edgy and bad satirical things that translated into my normal every day vocabulary. I’m super embarrassed looking back on it. When I went back to school there was this woman who I’d see every day, she was a very pretty woman, probably early 20s, had a very smooth voice and would frequent the corner shops I did. There wasn’t anything remarkable about her, it was just this aura she gave off, super friendly and positive vibes like the energy she radiated was ..read more

To “I” or not to “I”

We are told that “I am” is the most powerful word yet “I” just exemplifies our separateness if we’re meant to learn that the word “I” does not exist and that we’re all one entity and we’re all connected etc etc, why are we always using the terms I am to manifest? I am I feel I see? submitted by /u/No-Sherbert-1287 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
