Positive vibes today!!   ????? Look at this cutie!!  Is it a Baby owl? No way!!  that would make for a very small baby owl.   I was outside  checking  on my mimosa tree, and this is what caught my eye.   Just a Little growth on the stub of where a limb broke off.   I named this little cutie...... "Chester" Just one small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day! ? Such a sweet view at the ballpark.  We were watching Mylee and her HS softball team in a "playoff" game last evening.   The American Flag AND ..read more

A view that I never get tired of looking at!! Pads and Pads of growing Pecan Trees! From pots filled with seedlings to one year trees or two year old pecan trees....this excites me! Even the trees growing out in the fields (despite the weeds) are a beautiful sight.  There is always interesting finds when driving in the fields at the Nursery.   What looks like just a stack of buckets for more trees, is actually a temporary home to these ↓↓↓↓ Yep.....another litter of puppies.  It is so frustrating that people dump all the dogs that they DON"T want, down at the ..read more

Wow....prices on hotels and rental cars are.... UP, UP, UP.  ↑↑↑↑↑ This is when you would like to have a Camper trailer to vacation in!!   California is a far distance from where we live....so, I am guessing it would cost quite a bit in ..read more

Fun with Old Photos.... What do you do on yet another RAINY day?  You look at Old photos! We have had rain all day and with it being Saturday, I have been super lazy! I have actually been looking for my old prom picture.....you know, the one I blogged about last week.   Mine and Sam's senior prom picture.....the one that I don't really like.  What I came across was a few old photos.....the black and white days of photography. The photo above was of me when I had my flower shop....way back in the 70's.  I love flowers and these were some really wonderful days of ..read more

Grand Mother's Flower Garden

I am a fan of anything OLD, especially when I know that something came from a sweet relative.   How much sweeter can it get when you are able to have flowers growing in your own flowerbed, that once grew in your Great-Grandmother's flower beds? These Irises were dug up out of Sam's grandmother's garden.  I have some of them, and then I passed some on over to my daughter's, Trista and Shanda. The above photo was taken at Trista's home just last week.  Her Iris are all yellow, while mine and Shanda's are a light lavender color.  There is just something so very ..read more

Rooster update........Duck egg update..... Do you remember the Rooster I posted about last week?  Maybe it was week before last? Well....he has become the Town Rooster.   He has been "everywhere man." Cemetery, McDonalds, The Bank, Taco Bell, and he even crossed a four lane highway, to get to our local grocery store.   I did find out that his name is "Ronnie" and he belongs to no one!  He is a roaming Rooster. Mother duck is no where to be found.  No evidence of something getting her, however, the eggs have been abandoned.  Now, it is too late to put them ..read more

How many of you remember your Junior-Senior Proms?   Did you go to Prom with the person you are now married to? What was the theme at your Senior Prom? What color was your dress?  What style? Mylee was asked to go to the Junior-Senior prom at her school....Mylee is a sophomore, and her date here is a Junior. Things I remember about mine and Sam's Junior Senior proms.....   Our Junior Year, I wore a white and baby blue long gown.  Our prom was held at "The Red Barn Steakhouse."  The best I can remember, we ate and then they had a party room where the actual pr ..read more

Did you go on a "Babymoon" before your first child was born?  Second child, or Third child?? I honestly had not heard of a baby moon before, however, I know several couples who are expecting, and many of them have taken this kind of celebratory vacation.   I know that if Sam and I could have afforded a trip like this when our first child was born, we certainly would have done so.  Same for our second daughter....we did not have the extra cash to take a trip.  We were focused on building our first house when Trista was born, and two years later, we were building a seco ..read more
