The 2024 State of the Sector Survey is currently circulating throughout British Columbia! This survey is a check in on organizations in the non-profit sector, to capture trends and to distinguish those trends between non-profits of different geographies, demographics served, sizes, etc., and also probes deeper into the underlying challenges brought up most in the last report. Since 2020, the BC Alliance for Arts + Culture has convened bi-weekly meetings with over 30 BC-based arts service organizations (ASOs) to address sector needs. Together, we have collaborated on advocating for a brighter future for all arts, culture, and heritage entities, professionals, and volunteers. The following is excerpted from a press release issued by the City of Vancouver. The City of Vancouver is collecting feedback on the 889 Drake St. (formerly 1290 Hornby St.) development application.
