Jessica Gadirova from Aylesbury has become European floor champion to cap an incredible week at her first senior major championship in Basel, Switzerland.  Having already won all-around bronze and vault silver, Jessica went one better on the final day of competition to win a sensational gold medal with a flawless routine in the final. Jessica Gadirova from Aylesbury, Amelie Morgan from The Academy and Joe Fraser from City of Birmingham have all won medals on the first day of apparatus finals at the 2021 Artistic European Championships in Basel, Switzerland. Jessica Gadirova from Aylesbury has won a sensational all-around bronze medal at the Artistic European Championships.  16-year-old Jessica, making her debut at a senior major championship, produced a string of brilliant routines scoring 55.100 points to ensure bronze, just edging out Amelie Morgan from the Academy, her British teammate, who was also in inspired form with 53.565 points to finish 4th. Amelie Morgan from The Academy and Jessica Gadirova from Aylesbury produced fine performances on the opening day of qualifying at the 2021 Artistic European Championships to secure several finals for GB in Basel, Switzerland.  Both Amelie (54.032) and Jessica (53.699) will compete in the all-around final on Friday as they qualified in 6th and 8th place respectively as well as two individual apparatus finals. We are pushing for further financial support for all gymnastics clubs as concerns for the future of the sport have been highlighted by research conducted with the gymnastics community. Many clubs across the UK are struggling to cover operational costs, caused by participants not being able to attend their gymnastics sessions.
