I was thinking about trying out the new Grand Hyatt in the Deer Valley East Village next year, but I'm wondering about access to the rest of the mountain from there since little to no terrain will be open. I've read there will "definitely" be a gondola open, but my kids will still be in ski school, how easy will it be for them to get to that? Anyone have any idea? The information from my research leaves a bit wary of trying it out next year and I'll probably do a different Deer Valley resort next year and wait for 25-26 to try East village, but I'm curious if anyone knows how easy it will be ..read more

Hi, I know it's a bit early to toss this out there, but I'm curious as to what the borg hive Reddit mind thinks in regards to late season recommendations for out west USA this year.
Obviously it's a lot different than last year, when there were tons of options at this point...
Anyone ski Banff / Lake Louise recently? Bachelor? Tahoe? Mammoth?
Anyone with a crystal ball as to where we might expect cold conditions over the next couple of weeks?

What are the best ski locations for Backcountry snowmobiling? Ideally spots with lots of powder, open spaces, and hopefully accessible without trailering the sled.
Like SLC is great for skiing, but doesn't seem to have much for snowmobile access (or am I mistaken?). Vermont has the VAST system, but it's a snooze fest and only has snow like 3 weeks of the year. Alaska seems obvious, but not a very easy state to move to/live in.
