The EPA administrator assured members of the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works of more regulatory certainty for biofuels. During a hearing this morning, Michael Regan said his agency has been working to satisfy a petition for year-round E15 from eight Midwestern states. “That gives those states a level of certainty for future investments to up that production of biofuels so that we can continue to keep our prices low but be globally competitive.” Michigan Democrat Debbie Stabenow suggested expanded use of biofuels will help reduce prices for consumers, benefit the environm ..read more

Illinois corn farmers are concerned recent tax credit announcements limit corn-based ethanol’s contribution to the sustainable aviation fuel industry. USDA Summer EBT program launching this year

A new USDA program will increase access to nutritious food for more than 30 million children. Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack says the Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer Program for Children (Summer EBT) is being implemented in 36 states. “You’re going to get a card.”  He says, “That card every month is going to have $40 on it per child.
