I’m hoping to finally finish hand quilting my 9 patch on the way back to Michigan. I decided to get the binding made and ready to go. To keep it neat, I rolled it up on a can of starch. We are getting back to the work of downsizing. I have decided to part with my beloved Juki TL-2000Qi. This is a workhorse piecing machine and it is fast. It comes with everything you see below, as well as a dozen bobbins. The knee lifter is for the presser foot. The walking foot is not included. It is in Arizona. When I was testing out my walking feet, I decided to make a little something. And here it is! The squares finish at 1 1/2”. They were easily grabbed from my bins of 2 inch squares so it took no time at all to piece this little top. I quilted it on my Babylock QPC. Here is the back. I’ve been wanting to make a Log Cabin quilt for a while. I decided this would be one of the projects I kitted up to take to Michigan. Of course, I’m using my AccuQuilt Die. I’m not making full 12 inch blocks, though. So I only cut using shapes 1-8 on the die board. I broke out some long hoarded layer cakes for this! But I wanted a way to store them so they wouldn’t get messed up in transit. I got a couple of these from my local Walmart for less than $6 each.
