Gonna do the Oregon BDR route solo this summer on my CRF300l. Thinking about using NitroMousse instead of tubes with new D606 rear, and MT21 front tires. Want to carry less gear and have no worries about flats. Anyone ever used Mousse on a BDR? submitted by /u/DayDrinkingAtDennys [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Trial weekend: two-night gear test at Wildwood State Park

We're going two-up later this month so I wanted to test things out solo first. The tent is half empty because it's a three-person tent. I expect it to be much less roomy next time, perhaps some bags will be in the tent vestibule overnight. I rode 70 miles each way. I believe this is the closest camping park to me. My gear, minus some small items that I was too lazy to track (like E-ZPass, helmet, etc.): https://lighterpack.com/r/ol4vwr My bulkiest comfort items are the folding chair (which folds well and we have two of them) and the two-pound lantern, which I'll replace one day if I find ..read more

Has anyone bought the tensa4 hammock stand?

I am considering buying the tensa4 hammock stand. https://www.tensaoutdoor.com/product/tensa4-hammock-stand/?v=7516fd43adaa Does anyone have this? How well does it work for you? Does it fit on your motorcycle well? I have a 2014 Suzuki Vstrom 1000. I haven't usually had any issues with loading gear on my motorcycle. I am just looking for anyone to share their experiences and provide some insight before I buy this and regret the purchase. submitted by /u/the_naughty_ottsel [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

So may is my hell month. I took this first weekend to go and camp. South into Tennessee was calling for rain, so my alternative is typically north into Michigan. The forecast changed at the last minute and poured from about 530 until 3a last night. Everything is dirty, wet and miserable. Had a fire going most of the day today to dry out gear and my sleeping bags... Just now getting some food. submitted by /u/derickkcired [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
