Reading-based Siren Craft Brew has raised more than £110,000 in a crowdfunding campaign ahead of its flagship tap room opening in Reading this May. The campaign closes Friday 19th April so supporters have just ten more days to get involved. There’s an emerging new challenge to maintaining production of both non-organic and organic hops in the UK. The effects of climate change are predicted to severely reduce hop harvests, or could even halt hop growth altogether, as well as increase prevalence of pests and diseases attacking the plants.
