On Thursday the critically acclaimed animated special, El Deafo, was nominated for a Peabody Award in the Children’s & Youth category. The National Talent Academy for Animation is kicking off a Production Series of workshops this week. This follows on from last year’s successful Pre-Production Series and features 4 practical workshops. Production Coordination and Production Management workshops are now open for applications, with 2D Animation and Audio Design workshops launching shortly. Following a pilot iteration of the Animation Pathways Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Fund in 2022, Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland (Screen Ireland) and Animation Ireland are pleased to announce that a further €100,000 has been allocated for the funding scheme in 2023.
