Women Weren’t Created For the Battle

“And that ye study to be quiet…” (1 Thessalonians 4:11). This verse has convicted me along with the verse about having a meek and quiet spirit which God wants us to adorn ourselves with. I have been pondering these verses a lot recently with all of the controversy swirling around social media. Many young women seem to have no problem calling out and going after pastors (men) on social media. Some respond with cruel accusations. It’s an ugly sight to behold among true believers in Jesus Christ. When I call someone out, I don’t attack them personally, and I am not cruel. I try to speak truth to ..read more

Motherhood is a Woman’s Highest Calling
The Transformed Wife | Mentoring Many Women

Motherhood is a woman’s highest calling. Yes, we are called to glorify the Lord. What does this mean? It means we are to obey the Lord. What does the Lord call women to do? What is their highest purpose in life? From the beginning, God said it wasn’t good for man to be alone, so He created a help meet (helper suitable) for him (Genesis 2:18). Then, He commanded they be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1:28). The woman’s curse from the Fall was pain in childbirth (Genesis 3:16). In the New Testament, we are told women will be saved in childbirth IF they continue in the faith…(1 Timothy 2:15). Ba ..read more

My Lukewarm Christian Experience
The Transformed Wife | Mentoring Many Women
by Lori Alexander

Like many Christians, I was raised in a lukewarm Christian home. My dad read us Bible stories from some Bible story books once in awhile. I never saw my parents reading their Bibles nor did they ever read it to us. They didn’t talk about the Lord often. They took us faithfully to a lukewarm church. Then I attended a lukewarm Christian college. The OT professor taught us from a book he had written, and he didn’t believe in the inerrancy of Scripture. Some of the chapels were good. I did begin reading my Bible consistently during college and have ever since. I was married, and we attended lukew ..read more

The Mistress of the Household

Written By Mountain Housewife What are the responsibilities given to Christian wives in Titus 2 and 1 Timothy 5? In Titus 2, Paul gives specific instructions to be given to the older and younger women of the congregation: The older women likewise that they be in behavior as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to wine, teachers of good things, that they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, and submissive to their own husbands. Titus 2:3-5 According to this passage, a wise and godly wif ..read more

What is Best For the Children?

“But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea” (Matthew 18:6). I am frequently accused of being unloving and uncaring whenever I teach women to be keepers at home so they don’t blaspheme God’s Word (Titus 2:5). I love children. I want what’s best for them. What’s best and safest for them is to be home full time with their mothers who are always available for them. I don’t care if truth offends women. Many write me and tell me that they used to be offende ..read more

False Accusations Against Me
The Transformed Wife | Mentoring Many Women

A person I once respected and shared some of her posts has turned against me. Several months ago, she told me how much she appreciated my teaching but something caused her to come after me. And true to her pattern when she decides to go after someone, she goes hard. I tried to dialogue with her but her laundry list kept growing. Yes, we disciplined our children, and yes, I love the Pearls. From what I understand, her primary complaint against me is that I do not believe in “original sin.” Some women have asked me about it in the past but I have never taught the subject. I quit teaching doctri ..read more

The Curse of Emotional Needs
The Transformed Wife | Mentoring Many Women

Recently, I have been trying to convince women of the destruction of the phrase “emotional needs” in marriage. Women go into marriage believing that their husbands are to meet all of their emotional needs which are intangible. This is an impossibility for husbands and has led to many women divorcing their husbands. They falsely believe their husbands are to meet their emotional needs, love them with their love language, and make them happy, and if they don’t, they’re out. This is all psychobabble that has been used to destroy the family. Psychology Today wrote an article The Curse of Emotiona ..read more

Stick to Teaching Biblical Womanhood, Older Women

This is the book that began the transformation in my marriage almost 25 years ago. It’s worn and tattered from reading it so many times, and it’s the book I used to mentor many women. The only doctrine Debi teaches in this book is that of biblical womanhood. I attended Women’s Bible Studies and conferences for 30 years or so. Not once was I taught the doctrine of biblical womanhood. Once I read this book, I began teaching women in small groups in homes and then one-on-one. Women were hungry for this teaching. I tried teaching it in two churches nearby but I was forbidden since the women in le ..read more

Why Women Should Only Teach Biblical Womanhood
The Transformed Wife | Mentoring Many Women

My conviction that women shouldn’t be teaching women doctrines other than the doctrine of biblical womanhood, as commanded in Titus 2:3-5, has given me a lot of criticism from many places. I am even being called dangerous, legalistic, ungodly, and a false teacher. Women’s Bible studies are the pathway that has led to many female preachers/pastors, women speaking in the churches, and lukewarm churches. If women can preach/teach Scripture in a church, how is this any different than the men who do this on Sunday mornings? Yes, women can share Bible verses that encourage and convict them with oth ..read more

Living a Life of Simplicity and Contentment

Recently, I shared a picture of my kitchen on my social media. I shared it because of the sun streaming through my windows in the late afternoons as the days grow longer thus showing every fingerprint, all of the dust, dirty cupboards, and making every imperfection clearly visible. It caused me to deep clean it all. Spring seems the time to deep clean and maybe this is why! The sun shows us that our homes need it. Invariably, one woman made an unkind comment on this post. “That beautiful, big kitchen from only the husband’s income? without you needing to work???” I decided to ignore it as I d ..read more
