Wendell Carter is a versatile big (offensively and defensively) in his mid-twenties. He has 2 years left making around 12M (descending contract). A C/PF with three-level scoring ability, a high rebound rate, and defends the perimeter would pair well JJJ.
Would you trade Kennard for him? I say yes to get a starting, NBA tested Center and draft a player like Knecht.

Memphis Grizzlies' star Ja Morant has a new agent. And it's a familiar name.
Lift Sports Management, which is run by former NBA player Mike Miller, announced Thursday morning that Morant has signed with them. He needed a new agent after he split from Jim Tanner earlier this month.
The move was announced by a video Lift posted on social media. Morant retweeted the video from his account.

I think we’re priced out on him. Value is gonna go thru the roof after the playoffs. Of course, they have to make the call but I think it’s extremely unlikely at this point

As Grizzlies fans debate what to do with the big situation this offseason, I think it's important to note that out of the 8 West playoffs teams - only 2 teams are playing without a traditional non-shooting big.
TWolves, Clippers, Suns, Mavs, Lakers, and Pels all play with a player 6'10 or taller and ~240+ lbs that take less than 1.5 3PA (Gobert, Zubac, Nurkic, AD, Gafford and JV). And only JV, AD and Nurk shoot over 1 3PA and they all have bad (sub-31%) shooting percentages.
So only the Nuggets and Thunder with Jokic and Chet profile as "shooting bigs" and Jokic is the best basketball player ..read more

A lot of people posing questions on what the hive mind thinks about acquiring this center or that center. These are often players who are critical to the current success enjoyed by the teams they're on. People like Jarrett Allen or Isaiah Hartenstein etc. Those teams just aren't going to give those players up without requiring us to pay a heavy price.
So, say I'm the GM from some team with a center you want. You offer up this years lottery pick plus Luke Kennard and I say "Yeahno. I don't want a lottery pick; I want one of your Big 3. Which one are you offering me?" GMs play hardball, boys; d ..read more
