A 1995 Marshall Valvestate 8100 guitar amp used by the late Death founder/guitarist/vocalist Chuck Schuldiner is up for auction on eBay. According to a post on Death’s Facebook, the auction is being hosted by Chuck’s nephew Chris, who’s also the admin on their Facebook page. Chris also writes, “The serial number dates it to 1995 so it was presumably used during the Symbolic era and beyond. Was tested on 11/27 and works fine especially for being almost 30 years old. Nick Cave‘s 2009 darkly comic novel The Death of Bunny Munro is being adapted into a limited television series starring and produced by Matt Smith (Doctor Who, House of the Dragon, The Crown). Nothing have announced their own festival, SLIDE AWAY, with editions taking place in both Philadelphia and Los Angeles in March of 2024. They’ll be performing their 2014 debut album Guilty of Everything in full at both dates for its 10th anniversary, and Nothing leader Domenic Palermo has curated different shoegaze and shoegaze-adjacent lineups for each city. Broken Social Scene‘s Kevin Drew released Aging, a new solo album of piano ballads, earlier this month, and he’s announced a solo tour supporting it.
