James Blake is bringing his CMYK party series to NYC at Knockdown Center on June 14. Named after an early EP, CMYK is “an all day all night multimodal massive celebration of the sounds of the underground with James Blake and more,” running 5-10PM in Knockdown Center’s The Ruins and then moving into the main hall from 10 PM to 5 AM. UK indiepop greats Heavenly will be here later this spring for their first NYC shows since the ’90s. Their two Market Hotel shows (5/31 & 6/1) are sold out but they’ve just added another show, this one is an all-ages matinee at Trans-Pecos on June 1. Aslo on the bill are Widowspeak, “pseudonymous secret guest” Franz Charcoal (Frankie Cosmos?), and DJ Kip Berman (The Pains of Being Pure at Heart).
