What a treat the spectators had on Finals Day. The sun shone, the semi-finals were completed in time for the big day, after a race to get them completed due to the torrential rain of the past week. Whatever time you passed by the club, Dan Sanderson was playing in a final! The finals line up was its most varied yet – with two tiers for the men’s singles, plenty of junior representation, newcomers to finals and new winners, and an improvers section too. Along with lots of memorable tennis, Liu treated the crowd to a tennis quiz, Susan sang It’s a Marvellous Day for a Moonball, Brenda was on the ..read more
