TALLAHASSEE, FLA., DECEMBER 5 – USTA Florida wrapped up its 75th Anniversary regional celebration series with a dynamic and impactful event in Tallahassee, Florida, at the Florida Historic Capitol Museum. TALLAHASSEE, FLA., DECEMBER 5 – USTA Florida is proud to announce that Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) has been selected as the recipient of the organization's second-ever Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Program Support Grant. This grant, which provides $100,000 to help support and grow the tennis program, continues USTA Florida’s commitment to fostering growth, diversity, and inclusion in tennis through targeted support of HBCU institutions across the state.

ORLANDO, FLA., DECEMBER 5 – USTA Florida today released its first-ever Economic Impact Report, conducted by Tourism Economics, an Oxford Economics company. The report highlights the substantial contributions of amateur, youth, and adult tennis tournaments and events to Florida’s economy in 2023.
The report analyzed 1,134 sanctioned tennis tournaments and events across the state. Those events attracted 92,456 participants and 160,325 spectators, generating an impressive $81.8 million in direct spending. This spending translated into a total economic impact of $145 ..read more

As the year comes to an end, it’s once again time for the USTA league end-of-year NTRP Ratings. The ratings were released on December 3, and you can now view your classification for the 2025 USTA Adult League season.
Ratings are generated by playing in USTA Adult Leagues for the 18 & Over, 40 & Over, 55 & Over, 65 & Over, Mixed 18 & Over, and Mixed 40 & Over, Combo 18 & Over, 50 & Over, and Tri-Level division. The 2024 USTA Adult League National Championships began on October 18 and concluded on November 10 with various divisions and age groups in play. The competition took place in Arizona, California, and Florida as teams traveled to battle the best in the country.
In the October Nationals, USTA Florida had two National Champions and for the November tournaments, USTA Florida has another champion, once again coming out of Hillsborough County.

As falls rolls in, so does the excitement of the Adult League Sectionals! Over 20 teams gathered at the USTA National Campus to compete in the 2024 Adult 65 & Over 6.0/7.0/8.0 Sectional Championships.
The competition was intense across five divisions, with each division running a round-robin format, where the top two teams advanced to the championship match. This gave each team a chance to test their skills against one another and show who was the best.
